Summer is almost over, and now it’s back to school. As you finish checking off your summer movie bucket list, here are a few more movies and shows I suggest you see.
Fatherhood (Netflix)
Fatherhood is a Netflix original based on a true story, Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love by Matthew Logelin. Get your tissues ready … this will pull at your heartstrings while also take you on a roller coaster of emotions. The story is based on a widowed man who lost his wife right after giving birth to their daughter and their journey of learning how to manage each other. Such a good movie.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (HBO Max)
I heard many mixed reviews on this movie. I must say, however, I enjoyed it and my daughter loves it. It’s not really the one we grew up on, but it wasn’t meant for our generation. It was literally made for the younger gen. I enjoyed how they actually incorporated new technology into the movie and it was so fun seeing all the Looney Tunes characters back together again.
The Black Widow (Disney+)
Ahhh how cool is this movie?! If you’re a Marvel fan (like me), you’re going to love it. And Who doesn’t like to see a couple of badass women kicking butt to save the world? Even if they grew up / were trained as hit (wo)men!
Working Moms (Netflix Series)
This show is HILARIOUS! It’s NOT for kids but it’s a must-see show, in my opinion. It’s based on a group of women who meet in a moms group and all of the crazy, funny things they go through while trying to balance family life and being a mom. It’s truly one of my favorite shows.
iCarly Reboot (Paramount+)
If you grew up on this show, you will love the reboot. It’s basically Carly all grown up! It was nice to actually see them as young adults going through the things that I went through when I was in my late 20’s. You can find this show on the Paramount app.
So many new movies / shows have just been released (or are coming out soon) that I look forward to seeing! I’m so excited!
