Boozy Recipe Roundup :: Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream

This post is not sponsored in any way by Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream. We are just big fans of the product and wanted to share with you!

Just like our TikToktails post from a while back, we took one for the team and did a recipe roundup rating of several of the most interesting Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream recipes. We’ve been a fan of this Rum Cream for a while, even though we first saw it while we were expecting Baby #3 (and bought a bottle to try while we were not pregnant!). My tolerance may have waned a bit since I’ve had kiddos, but I can honestly say that ANYTHING with Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream is absolutely delish, even if you’re just adding a splash to your coffee!

1 15.25-ounce box chocolate fudge cake mix (and ingredients called for on cake mix box: water, oil, eggs)
1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 3.4-ounce box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream, divided
1 3.9-ounce box instant chocolate pudding mix
½ cup whole milk
1 8-ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
Optional: Mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings, for garnish

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cake mix and espresso powder. Follow the directions on the cake mix box to make a 9×13 inch cake.

Allow the cake to cool completely and use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes over the entire top of the cake.

Use a handheld mixer to mix together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla pudding mix, and ½ cup of the Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 5 minutes or until set. Spoon the pudding mix over the cake, pushing it into the holes.

Use a handheld mixer to mix the chocolate pudding mix, whole milk, and remaining ½ cup of Gambino’s King Cake Rum Cream until thickened. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold in the whipped topping. Spread evenly over the cake.

Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings if desired and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before cutting and serving.
