Krewe of Cleopatra to Return to Magazine Street in 2023!
Today the members of Krewe of Cleopatra received the best news ever … the parade, which is celebrating 50 years this year, WILL be resuming its regular route which starts at the corner of Jefferson and Magazine Street. This is incredibly welcome news to the Krewe and Mardi Gras revelers. Cleo is known for being very generous with its throws, including lots of light up and blinky items, as well as signature glittered cups. Here are some tips on how to catch coveted signature throws like Cleo cups and Muses shoes.

Where :: uptown New Orleans parade route, including Magazine Street
This is very welcome and exciting news for residents because Magazine Street is typically a very family-friendly environment and a wonderful place to watch the ladies of Cleo roll by. We cannot wait for Carnival season and hope other Krewes follow suit.

Thank you for your article. The Cleo website now states they will follow the traditional route but will NOT be traveling down magazine. Their site states that they will travel up Jefferson to St Charles. Your article reports that the parade will return to Magazine. Do you know which is correct?

The new route was announced on Sunday at the Cleo meeting – this is brand new information. As soon as the security is confirmed they probably will update the official routes, too. This is current and recent info and unless something changed again, Magazine Street is accurate.
