Hidden Gem :: MOVE Studio

My mom put me in dance class at the ripe age of 18 months, just to get me socialized since I was ATTACHED to her hip. Needless to say, I loved it because I danced until I was 25 years old.

Fast forward, I am 38 and recently noticed that my metabolism has slowed down quicker than I ever expected. I want to sweat and burn calories but in the most fun way possible! Since I have always been a lover of dance, my sister and I had been searching for a place we could take dances classes as an adult, where there was no recital or costumes. Just FUN! I wondered if such a place ever existed.

A few months ago, one of my favorite people on the planet introduced me to the MOVE Studio family and I have been hooked ever since. I went to my first class, alone, which in girl world is crazy. Have you ever seen girls go to the bathroom alone? No! We love our besties. But I decided I will be brave and do it.

It. Was. Amazing.

Everyone was so welcoming the minute I walked in. The owner gave me a tour of the studio, restrooms, amenities etc. During class, they welcome questions and clarifications  while you are learning the choreography. I have never felt judged. I have never felt uncomfortable. I only felt like I was at home. They have men and women in all classes – so it truly is for everyone!
