Why You Should Visit Bambū Desserts and Drinks: A Vietnamese Dessert Delight Right Here In Metairie

About a week ago, I took my kids to Bambū Desserts & Drinks – Metairie for an end of the week treat, and it was great! I was pleasantly surprised by the number of options they had for sweet treats and drinks. While the menu is large enough for everyone to find something they might like, it doesn’t feel overwhelming. And the employees are super friendly and helpful!

So what should you get?

While I can’t speak to everything on the menu (we haven’t tried it all yet), I can say with certainty that the mochi ice cream is amazing! They come in cute, individual wrappers, which limits the mess and makes it easy to take to go. The lovely employee helping us even wrapped ours in a bag of ice to keep them cold for the ride home. My husband was especially grateful for that because it meant he got to try some. The flavors of the mochi are also unique and delicious. They have traditional flavors like chocolate and strawberry, but they also offer unique flavors like matcha, passionfruit, and lychee. My personal favorite was the vanilla chip! But mochi isn’t the only sweet treat they offer at Bambu.

What else can I expect to find?

They also offer delicious macarons with a plethora of flavors that are sure to tantalize your tastebuds. And, they have bubble waffles! If you’ve never had one, I highly recommend. Think waffle and beignet combined, but not fried. They are light, airy, and delicious. And of course, we can’t forget mom. For the adults they also have Vietnamese coffee, which is a much richer and more decadent version of traditional coffee. This is due to the type of bean and how they are roasted. Definitely worth a try!

If none of what I’ve mentioned so far sounds appealing, that’s ok! Bambū also offers traditional coffees, a wide variety of teas, parfaits, and refreshers. There really is something for everyone. So, if you haven’t tried one of Metry’s newest dessert joints, I hope you will soon. It certainly was a big hit in our household!

**And for our Northshore readers, the Bambū Desserts & Drinks – Mandeville is opening on Friday, March 20th!
