2020 Ultimate Guide to Summer Camp in New Orleans and the Surrounding Areas

New Orleans Mom is updating the list of New Orleans Summer Camps Amidst COVID-19 as often as possible. This summer camp guide is maintained regularly as information is received. We are here to help New Orleans moms find camp and childcare!

As busy moms ourselves, we know that finding summer camps in New Orleans is on the top of every mom’s list of things to figure out. While summer in New Orleans makes many think of popsicles (or in our case snowballs), parks and water play we KNOW as moms that it can also be a frustrating time where you are struggling to piece childcare and entertainment together week by week and month by month. We hope that this guide to summer camps in New Orleans provides the insight that you need to plan a fun and stress free summer.

A special thanks goes out to all of the sponsors that helped us made this guide possible. If you would like your camp included in this guide please email karen{@}neworleansmom{dot}com. If you’d like to see a comprehensive list of camps in and around New Orleans click HERE. If you live on the Northshore and want to see a list of ONLY Northshore camps click HERE. Do you have a little one that is not quite ready for camp yet? You can check out our comprehensive list of childcare, preschools and mother’s day out programs HERE

Us Helping Us New Orleans

Us Helping Us New Orleans believes all children should have the opportunity to experience a quality summer camp program. So we are sponsoring 75 kids to attend our program, on a first come, first serve basis. We are taking care of all meals, field trips, and activities. The only cost to the family is a registration fee of $50 and the cost of camp shirts. UHUNO Summer Camp is here to help families who cannot afford the cost of summer camp for their child.

NORD

Summers are better at NORD! We offer a variety of summer camps focusing on academic enrichment, sports, cultural and visual arts, dance, performing arts, and more! Each camp offers weekly field trips to places like the Skate Center, Aquarium, Zoo, Insectarium, just to name a few. We also visit NORD pools where campers can cool off from the summer heat and learn water and swimming safety tips.

Credit Cards, Loans and Investing for Teens

Students follow the money and reveal the power of compound interest over time. What happens after a year of adding $50/month to your credit-card balance? If you borrow $4000/year through college, how long will it take to pay off your student loans? If you’d like your teen to consider questions like these please contact me to reserve time for this summer.
