Holly Jolly Hotel Hop :: My New Favorite Holiday Tradition

Holly Jolly Hotel Hop :: My New Favorite Holiday Tradition

We kicked off December with our first annual holiday hotel hop! Organized by my magical mother and wonderful cousin, the adults-only of our annual beach krewe decided we wanted to celebrate together during the holiday season too! Before we loaded on the bus, we all knew a new family tradition was created!

We gathered at my uncle’s house for pre-hop drinks and snacks. We loaded the bus around noon (shoutout to Rodney and the bus with the fur) and headed to our first stop, Windsor Court for lunch. The food was delicious and the cosmos were $7 … yes, please! The $5 martinis, lemon drop martinis, and espresso martinis were popular at the “kid’s table” too!

Cheers to the kids table!

After our bellies were good and full, we were ready to hop! Over the next four hours, we sang our way through the streets and hotels of New Orleans! We soaked up the Christmas magic of The Ritz, Hotel Monteleone, The Roosevelt, and Omni Royal. We ran out of time but first on our list for next year are Royal Sonesta and Le Pavilion. We ended our holly jolly adventure at Hot Tin Roof with a nightcap. The perfect ending to a perfect day spent in the city I love and miss so much.

I’ve loved seeing pictures of everyone else’s visits to the hotels! This was my first time doing the holiday hotels childless, so it’s a perfect family-friendly activity too. But I definitely recommend doing it at least once kid-free!

What hotels are your favorite during the holiday season in New Orleans?!
