Experience The New Elevate Spa at Ochsner Clearview
The brand new Ochsner campus at Clearview (at the corner of Veterans) is stunning from the moment you walk in. Physicians’ offices for primary and wellness care, labs and testing
facilities, outpatient surgery, and an onsite pharmacy are housed in the three-story building at the Clearview City Center’s east end, opposite of Target.
Welcoming visitors is the lush entry landscaping and hotel-like lobby. Conveniently located on the first floor is the brand new Ochsner Elevate Spa, which offers massage therapy, facials, waxing, cool sculpting, cool tone, and more. In addition to having several aestheticians on staff, Ochsner’s dermatological and plastic surgery physicians oversee and approve all treatments and administer the injectables themselves. It’s spa services, backed by science!
The restroom and locker room areas have the ambience of a traditional spa, and they lead into an inviting relaxation room where you wait for your services to begin. Lush robes and personal slippers are provided to each guest, and personal items can be tucked away in a private locker.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of receiving a Dermaplane treatment, where a surgical
blade is used to take off dead skin cells and facial hair and fuzz. This does not hurt at all,
but you do have to remain still during the treatment. After, your face feels incredibly soft and makeup applies so easily! Next, I had the Obagi Blue Peel which is a clear solution that is swabbed onto your face. The salicylic acid-based peel (feels much like the light sting of lip plumper) results in tighter, smoother, and brighter-looking skin. This can help with acne, scarring, and skin damage, too! As a final treatment, a cooling mask was applied that felt great!
I can’t say enough about my aesthetician, Frank. He was informative and fun and really made me feel pampered and relaxed during the experience. There are several other peels and facial treatments, which I would also love to try when I come back!
