Easter Basket Ideas for Teens and Tweens

Easter Baskets are still a fun tradition, even for older kids. My teens and tween still enjoy finding where the Easter Bunny has hidden their baskets and finding the treats inside.
Our family tradition is to wake up on Easter morning and have the kids hunt for baskets, trying to figure out where the magical bunny has hidden them. Sometimes they’re on the back porch, sometimes they’re lined up on the fireplace, sometimes they are scattered throughout the house with each of our children’s names on them. The older kids laugh about our hunt, but they still want their baskets! And they would be devastated if only our younger kids had baskets waiting for them this year.
Easter Basket Ideas for Teens and Tweens
- Easter eggs with dollar bills rolled up inside. This is always a hit!
- Body sprays and scents for boys and girls. Some ideas include Bath & Body Works, Sol de Janeiro, and Touchland. Skincare too! (Pimple Patches seem to be a hit!)
- Swim suits and swim trunks because summer is coming soon!
- Bathing suit cover ups or personalized beach towels
- Water bottles because you can never have enough (Stanley, Owala, Yeti)
- Gift cards to an experience like laser tag, zip lining, or bowling
- Hair accessories or hair products (hair sprays, gels, conditioner, scalp treatment)
- Summer clothes (tank tops, flip flops, shorts)
- School supplies and stationary (nice pens, highlighters, notecards)
- Candy is still a winner (gummies, chocolate, Reese eggs, Swedish fish, Twizzlers, Nerds Gummies clusters)!
We tend to keep our basket shopping pretty low key and most items are under $20. It’s more about the thrill of digging through the basket to find small treasures than it is about a large expense. Sometimes our kids trade candy or other items, but it’s still a fun way to spend Easter morning. One year we even planned a scavenger hunt to find the baskets, which made the activity a little longer and more exciting! Happy Hopping!
