What is Home? Visit Audubon’s Tree of Life this Weekend {Sponsored}

Disclosure: this is a sponsored post. As always, though, we only share products, events and resources that we believe will better your life here in New Orleans!

After much anticipation, the holidays are finally upon us. The kids are home from school, the shopping is done (or not), the cookies are baked (in my head) and we’re ready to partake in all of the goodness this amazing city has to offer.

Another local blogger recently shared with us that there’s a really neat and temporary display of 50 bird houses Picture1hanging from one of the majestic oaks, the Tree of Life, in Audubon Park … and it will only be there through Sunday, December 22. Check out this video to learn more about the Birdbnb houses at the Tree of Life. We are lucky to have this happening right here in our backyard, and the weather for the weekend looks ideal for an outdoor activity! Directions to the display are here.

These gorgeous and awe-inspiring birdhouses are representative of real houses found across the world and are the work of Airbnb who assembled this amazing display to connect nature and human life.

“No creatures on earth travel quite like birds do. They soar the skies then land in new places. They see the world from a different perspective, one to which all real travelers aspire.”Airbnb

What better excuse to stop worrying about the unwrapped presents, unbaked cookies, get outside and just enjoy time together? This outing costs nothing, doesn’t require planning and is truly a work of art. When you’re there, Airbnb suggests that you think about what is “Home To You?”

What is home to YOU?
