Thanks for sharing! We are going to try this out this year!
FYI – Shady Pond is not opening this season (they were not open last season either). The owner passed away in December of 2024 and the family is trying to figure out what they want to do with the farm.
Dear Friend of Shady Pond,
It’s with a VERY heavy heart that we are writing to share that we will not be open for the 2025 Christmas season. As you know, my father, Clarke Senior, loved the joy that he was able to share through his Christmas trees. This coming weekend after Thanksgiving is one that my father used to look on with great anticipation – the opening of the season! He would have already met with many of you for pre-tagging and would be gearing up for opening day.
While we are in the process of imagining the future of the farm in a way that honors the history and unique environment of this family business and property, the thing we will miss most this year is making memories with you and your loved ones.
We look forward to sharing new opportunities with you in 2026!
During this time of reflection and sharing with family and friends, we wish all of our Shady Pond community a Happy Thanksgiving and a warm and festive Merry Christmas and New Year!
Warmest regards,
Clarke Jr. and Robin
