St. Mary’s Dominican High School Alumnae Association Easter Egg Roll:Saturday, March 9, 10am-12pm. Join us on the lawn of Dominican’s Campus for crafts, snacks, butterflies, an egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny!
Easter Egg Hunt by Little Fins Swim Academy at Riverside Country Club: March 23rd, 10am -12 pm. Join us for pictures with the Easter Bunny, an Easter themed craft, and a “little kid friendly” egg hunt! Tickets are required to attend and admission is $25.
Easter Bunny Arrival Celebration at Lakeside Shopping Center: Join Lakeside on Saturday, March 2nd as we welcome the Easter Bunny! The doors will open at 9am, and the Easter Parade will begin at 9:30am. Taking place of the Easter egg this year, children will have the opportunity to explore shops with Easter themed crafts and games. Photos with the Easter Bunny begin at 10:00 am. Tickets are $25 per family (up to 5 members), and will include one food voucher to be used at participating food court restaurants.
Eggstravaganza at Metairie Baptist Church: Saturday, March 23rd, from 10am-12pm.This festival-style Easter event will include FREE candy, snacks, games, crafts, and an Easter Egg Hunt with OVER 7,000 EGGS! This family-friendly event will include multiple Easter Egg Hunts to accommodate a come-and-go atmosphere. Hunt times are as follows: 10:15 am, 10:45am, 11:15am, and 11:45am. Please make plans to join us for this event and invite your family, friends, and neighbors to come as well
Pelican Park Twilight Eggstravaganza: Saturday, March 23rd. This twilight eggstravaganza is open to ages 1-12 years. There will be four fabulous age-specific egg hunts, a variety of fun activities and games, and pictures with Peter Cottontail! Registration is required, and is currently open. Be sure to register ASAP as space is limited.
The NOMA Family Festival and Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 23rd, from 10am-1pm. Set within the picturesque Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, this is a fun and festive event for families featuring arts & crafts, games, face painting, snacks, drinks, music, and more. Admission is free for children 2 and under, $15-20 for those over 2, and includes refreshments.
Grown-Up Egg Hunt Fundraiser for Whole Village Art Therapy: Saturday, March 30th, 11am-2pm. Grown-up Egg Hunt! Win cash, art, candy, and gift cards hidden in the eggs. Have fun while supporting Whole Village Art Therapy!
Historic French Quarter Parade:Saturday, March 31st. The Historic French Quarter Easter Parade begins at Antoine’s Restaurant at 9:45 a.m. on Easter Sunday. The parade travels to St. Louis Cathedral for 11 a.m. Mass. The parade consists of mule-drawn carriages, old convertables and various walkers throwing Easter trinkets to the observers.
Easter at Messina’s at the Terminal: Celebrate Easter with us with a delicious meal and gorgeous views!
Easter Eggstravaganza: Date TBD. Please continue to check the website for details. Family-friendly Easter egg hunts at select NORD parks. Meet the Easter Bunny, and find eggs filled with candy and prizes. Event also features face painting, space walks and field games.
Toddler Story Time: Easter egg Hunt: March 27th, 10am – 10:30am. This Easter themed Story Time at Harrahan Library includes stories, songs, and finger plays for infants and toddlers. They will be reading the book, “We’re Going On An Easter egg Hunt.” By: Lauren Hughes
Jesuit Bend Easter Parade and Gathering: March 24th, 10am – 5pm. Parade will begin at 10am on Highway 11 in Belle Chase. The 2 mile parade will end at Jesuit Bend Park, where there will be live music, drinks, games for kids, and an Easter egg hunt. The hunt will begin at 12pm, and the live music will begin at 12:30pm.
Spring Fest at Longue Vue Gardens: March 23rd, 1-4pm. Enjoy nature-themed crafts and scavenger hunts, a game zone, live performance by Eight Dice Cloth Trio, half-priced house tours, Loupe Photography Easter Portraits, and a visit from Longue Vue’s Easter Bunny!
Easter Extravaganza Arts & Crafts Show: March 16th, 10am – 4pm. The show will include over 100 vendors, and pictures with the Easter Bunny!
Easter Eggstravaganza at the Lafitte Greenway: March 16th at 10am. Organized by Friends of The Lafitte Greenway and NORD, this event will have food, treat bags, sack races, and an Easter egg hunt!
Easter Outreach Easter egg hunt: March 16th at 2pm-5pm. Organized by A Stepping Stone Of Louisiana 501c3, this event will include a bounce house, kids activities, free Easter Bunny pictures, an egg hunt, and more!
Kid’s Easter Cooking & Craft at Empty Nest Cafe: March 10th, 2pm-3pm. Kids will learn to cook their own breakfast, and while that it baking, they will create a fun Easter craft! $15 per child, reservations required.
Hop A Trunk: Easter Family Fun Day: March 30th, after the 5pm worship service. Hosted by Celebration church, this event gives families an opportunity to go trunk to trunk gathering Easter themed treats, as well as an opportunity to try some amazing food trucks!
Spring Family Fest at the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany: March 23rd, 11am – 1pm. Join us for an egg drop and hunt, art garden, butterfly tent, and Easter Bunny pictures. Find a special egg to win prizes such as free admission to the museum, a free week of summer camp, and Raising Canes! Please bring your own basket and picnic blanket. Tickets $18 with member discount, and $20 day of event.
Easter Bunny Phtoto Fundraiser: March 16th, 11am – 4pm. Join us for Easter photos with all our rescue bunnies! Hosted by BunnAgain Rabbit Rescue and Education and Yelba Lobo Photography, this is a great way to get some adorable Spring photos and meet some adoptable bunnies! The event will take place at Jefferson Feed & Garden Center in Jefferson.
City Park Egg Roll: March 23rd and 24th, 9:30am – 12pm. This EGG-cellent day will be complete with egg hunt, music, a visit from the Easter Bunny and unlimited Amusement Park rides. Easter bags and eggs will be provided, you just bring the littles ones looking for FUN. Proceeds will benefit the continued beautification and preservation of New Orleans City Park’s 1,300 acres. Active Friends of City Park Members (FOCP Members) receive a $3 discount on general admission tickets. Renew or purchase a membership at neworleanscitypark.org prior to ticket purchase.
City Park’s Bunny Hops: March 30th, 7pm – 10pm. This adults only event will include access to all rides, three open beer stands, DJ, and adults only Easter egg hunt. City of Covington’s Easter Eggstravaganza: March 30th, 10am – 12pm. Bring your little ones for some Easter fun to the City of Covington’s annual spring kids’ event at the Covington Trailhead, Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This FREE event includes Easter-themed arts and crafts for kids, a petting zoo and Easter egg hunt. The Kiwanis Club will have a youth health fair and more.
New Orleans Spring Garden Show: April 6th and 7th, 9am to 4pm. $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-12, under 5 are free. Come to city park to see plant and garden products, arts, crafts, and a children’s discovery area.
YMCA Breakdfast With The Bunny: Saturday, March 16th from 8am – 11am. Everyone is welcome to have breakfast with us! A $5 donation gets you pancakes, sausage, OJ, milk, and coffee. Food is provided by and prepared by St. Anslem Knights of Columbus. Purchase your tickets at the YMCA!
NOLA Kidsground Easter egg hunt: Thursday, March 28th, and Friday, March 29th. Hop on over to NOLA Kidsground on either Thursday, March 28 or Friday, March 29, for an Easter Egg Hunt & Play Time, eggs-clusively for children ages 5 and under. Tickets are limited and advanced reservations are required for each 1-hour time slot. Hope to see you soon! 🐰
Easter & Spring Break Camps in New Orleans
Camp Soul Grow Camps: A variety of FREE workshop options over school breaks. Lunch included. Ages 7-12. Registration required.
Art Time Easter Camps: All students will have fun drawing from a real live model (beanie baby), and will get to take home their own beanie baby after the class, as well as their framed art work! For this camp specifically, we will be drawing an Easter Bunny and Stitch! There will be class times for K – 3rd, and 3rd – 7th. Register now, spots are filling up!
Lolo’s Studio Spring Break Camp: March 25th – April 5th, 9am-3pm, ages 5-7 and 8+. Catch a break while your kids enjoy a day of fun and calm while you do you. At Lolo’s Camps kids of all ages get to let their crazy out, find their calm, create inspired art and strike a pose. (And no electronics!)
JCC Spring Break Camp: Metairie Mini Camp and Uptown Mini Camp. April 1st-5th. 8:30am-3:30pm.When school is out, the JCC is in! Join us for a camp-style day at the J. Our staff will guide participants through an active day filled with group activities, creative arts, athletic games and more. Bring a bagged lunch and wear closed-toe shoes so you can take part in all of the fun. No money or electronics, please.
Madisonville Equestrian Center Easter Horse Camp: April 2nd 9am-3:30am, and April 5th-9th, 9am-2pm. Before and after care options are available. The camp is available to ages 4 and up. Camp includes English style riding, games on horseback, hands on involvement and instruction, grooming techniques, and instructions on how to properly care for a horse. All registrations submitted before March 31st will have the $25 registration fee waived.
Covington Karate Studio Spring Break Camp: April 1st-5th from 8am-4pm. Arts, crafts, bounce house, slip and slide, egg toss, relay races, karaoke, and more! Ages 4-12.

New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts Holiday Art Camp: April 1st – 5th. Young artists will embark on a colorful journey, exploring various art forms such as painting, drawing, collage, and crafts. Parallel to our fine art exploration we will dive deep into the world of mural art, discovering various techniques, styles, and materials used by renowned muralists such as Diego Rivera, Jose Orozco, and others. Instructors will guide students through the mural painting process, exploring each step, from discussion to design to application. Classes will also involve drawing and painting techniques, art history, collaborative group work, large scale rendering and figure drawing.
Haynes Jackettes Dance Camp: April 2 from 9 am – 3 pm. Hosted by the Haynettes dance team, this camp will include a short Parent Showcase at 3:00. Prive is $40 per child (PreK-5th). Bring water, snack, lunch, and wear comfortable clothes to dance in and play games.

Old Metairie Fest: 2024 Date TBD. St. Francis Xavier’s Old Metairie Fest is going to be “Out of this world”! Join us for food, festivities, and fun! Live music featuring KARMA!
Freret Street Festival: Saturday, March 30th 2024 11am to 6pm. With over 200 local vendors, live music stages, and food and drink options, the Freret Street Festival is one of the premier neighborhood festivals in the city, and it’s free!
Fête Française: Saturday, March 23rd, 11am-5pm. Join us for New Orleans’ Premier French Festival hosted by Ecole Bilingue, a French immersion school. We’ll be celebrating French language and culture around the globe with live music, delicious food from top notch local restaurants, various artist booths and vendors, and lots of kid friendly activities.
Children’s Museum of St. Tammany: Saturday, March 23rd, 11am-1pm. Spring Fest: Egg drop, hunt, and Bunny pictures, art garden, food trucks and more!
Ursuline Academy Spaghetti Fest: March 23rd, 12pm – 3pm. Get ready for an afternoon of delicious fun at Ursuline Academy’s Spaghetti Fest 2024! Join us for a day filled with mouth-watering pasta, vibrant entertainment, and a heartwarming sense of community. This event promises to be a feast for the senses, all in support of a great cause.
French Quarter Festival: April 11th-14th. With 22 different stages featuring 270+ local musicians, and over 60 food and drink vendors – not to mention the gorgeous riverfront scenery and charming French Quarter streets to stroll – there’s no reason to miss this four-day-long event. The festival is free.
Louisiana Bicycle Festival: April 20th. A treat for bicycle enthusiasts in April that includes antique bicycle exhibits and a bicycle flea market. While there are no sponsored food vendors, there will be access to several delicious, local restaurants and the Abita brew pub.
Girod Street Stroll: April 20th, 5pm – 9pm. The stroll takes place on Girod Street in Old Mandeville. Patrons will enjoy more than 30 stroll stops featuring light tasting plates by top local chefs, or classic Bourbon cocktails like Mint Juleps, and Old Fashions. Each cocktail stop will put their own creative spin on these New Orleans favorites. There will also be local artists on site selling their original work; a live event painting and live music at certain stops (TBD).Patrons must purchase a commemorative cup online, which is their ticket to sample all food and beverages at the event.Tickets are $50 and patrons must be 21 or older to participate.
Amite Oyster Festival: March 15th – 17th. This decades old community tradition strives to bring awareness to coastal protection and restoration, and the oyster industry. This year’s festivities include great food, live music, a 5k fun run, and a good time for the entire family!
St. Catherine Crawfish Festival & Cookoff: Saturday, April 20th. The festival includes over 40 crawfish cookoff teams, with plenty of crawfish for everyone! Tickets include all you can eat crawfish, and access to the kids’ zone. There will also be live music!
Daddy Daughter Spring Dance: Create memories your daughter will never forget at our Daddy Daughter Spring Dance. You and your little princess will enjoy a photo booth, raffles, dancing, food, and more! No cost. Open to girls ages 18 and under. Registration required. 2024 event date coming soon
Kite Day:Date TBD.Bring your friends and family to our Annual Kite Day! Prizes for fastest kites, best decorated, and more! Bounce Houses, snacks, crafts, and music. No admission cost and open to all.
Zoo-To-Do for Kids at Audubon Zoo: Friday, April 26th from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Enjoy arcade games, bounce houses and giant inflatables, Live performances, creative arts and crafts, and delicious snacks.
All You Can Eat Crawfish Cook-off: April 20th, 2024. Slidell’s All-you-can-eat Crawfish Cook-off, a fund-raiser for the Hospice House is hosted by the Hospice Foundation of the South each April in Fritchie Park, at the peak of crawfish season. The event features over 50 teams competing for honors and the title of “Best Crawfish in St. Tammany Parish.”
Hogs For The Cause: Friday April 5th – Saturday April 6th. This incredible festival of food, music & fun has proven to be a community favorite. With over $11 million given to families in need, this festival truly gives back! Join over 95 cookout teams as they showcase their delicious pork recipes, and 15+ bands for a weekend of fun for a great cause. Single day tickets on sale now!
Crawfish Cookin’ For A Cause: Saturday, April 13th, 11am – 5pm. Revel in the sunshine and breezes of the Mandeville lakefront’s splash park & beach for the 14th annual Crawfish cooking fundraising event by the Northshore Community Foundation for local charities. Enjoy loads of tasty crawfish and all the fixin’s as boiling teams compete for bragging rights, as judged by local celebrities, peers, and you!
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest: April 25th – May 5th. With incredible food, drink, and craft vendors along with a variety of stages featuring everything from world-famous headliners to local musicians, Jazz Fest truly appeals to everyone. This year’s headliners include The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The Killers, Anderson Park & The Free Nationals, Hozier, Jon Batiste, Queen Latifah, Vampire Weekend, Widespread Panic, Heart, Bonnie Raitt, Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Revivalists, The Beach Boys, Trombone Shorty, and more. Whether you spend the day enjoying the melodies in the Gospel Tent or head outside to check out the larger stages, you won’t want to miss this fest.
