BILOXI, Miss. (February 2026) – “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….”  The greatest fairy tale never told comes to the Beau Rivage Theatre June 11-July 2. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek the Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all-new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a side-splitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ear.

The show is produced and directed by Jeb K. Rand of Rand Productions, Inc., a full-scale entertainment company specializing in creating original family-friendly shows, Broadway musicals, experiential theatrical productions, television specials, and branded corporate events for more than 30 years. MGM Resorts/Beau Rivage and Rand Productions have partnered for more than a decade, bringing successful summer and holiday productions to the Beau Rivage Theatre, including Christmas on Ice, Christmas in the Air, Finding Christmas, Grease, Footloose, Elf the Musical, and, most recently, A Christmas Story: The Musical.
