Quints Provide Five Reasons to Be Thankful

“We have truly enjoyed this journey into motherhood, five times over!” exclaimed Nadia Harris. “As any parent can attest, raising children, especially five little ones at once, is definitely a challenge. Our hearts are filled with so much joy and we feel truly blessed.” quints bday party - suspenders 10-15

Mothers Nadia and Elizabeth Harris wed in 2009 and wanted to start a family. In 2013, Nadia and Elizabeth met with Dr. Stacey Holman, of the LSU Department of OBGYN, who referred them to fertility specialist, Dr. Peter Lu. On April 9, 2013, after three and a half years trying to get pregnant, Dr. Lu performed Nadia’s tenth insemination. Nearly three weeks later, Nadia learned that she was expecting quintuplets.

On October 4, 2013, Elizabeth Anne II, Dawson Aidan, Maxwell Alexander, Micah Quinn, and Joseph Matthew were delivered at Touro by Dr. Stacey Holman with the help of a team of more than 30 doctors, nurses and technicians.

An avid runner, she'll try any workout at least once and is always up for sweating with friends. When she’s not shuttling her 3 very active kids to school, gymnastics or baseball, you can find her cheering for the Saints, trying new restaurants or spending time with family and friends. She's also not afraid to return mediocre books to the library before finishing them because life is too short for bad books. A native New Orleanian, Ashley loves exploring and discovering the beauty of South Louisiana through her growing children's eyes.
