It’s Elf On The Shelf season, now what?
Like most moms around this time of year, I’m caught up in decorations, Lifetime’s holiday movies, Christmas shopping, and … trying to be creative with that pesky little Elf on the Shelf! Between Facebook posts and Pinterest searches, one can get overwhelmed and exhausted with countless ideas to execute. I was always pretty boring, just trying to remember to actually move our Elf to a new location before sunrise. However, last year, I decided to put a little more effort in excitement of morning surprises. It all started when I realized our Elf could easily slip into Barbie sized clothing, including the entire Disney Princess collection we owned. Here’s what followed:
Day 1: Snow White
(and the announcement)
Day 2 : Tiana
Day 3 : Rapunzel
Day 4: Ariel
Day 5 : Belle
Day 6 : Sleeping Beauty
Day 7 : Jasmine
Day 8 : Cinderella
Day 9 : Anna
Day 10 (December 24th) : The Grand Finale – Elsa
Frozen II had just come to theaters a month prior, so I decided to “go big” at the end with Elsa showing up, reuniting all the princesses, and of course our Elf on her last night before heading back to the North Pole.
