A Loving and Nurturing Environment: Our Experience at St. Andrew’s Cottage
When we were looking for a daycare to send our son, we wanted to find a place where he would not only be safe but genuinely loved and given opportunities to grow. We instantly fell in love with St. Andrew’s Cottage when we toured and knew that it would 
be a great fit for our family.
We joined in the middle of the school year, but St. Andrew’s made the transition so easy. They quickly welcomed us as if we had been there all year. The teachers made the transition incredibly smooth by welcoming our son with patience, encouragement, and genuine excitement. It became quickly apparent that the teachers take the time to get to know each child’s unique personality, interests and development needs.
One of the things we love about the Cottage is how caring the teachers are. Our son calls one of the teachers “mine” because he loves spending time with her. It is so rewarding hearing our son say her name and talk about her while at home. This gives us the reassurance that he feels loved and cared for by her.
The teachers are also dedicated to helping the children learn and develop every single day. They understand that young children learn best through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences, and they do a great job of making learning fun and engaging. We have watched our son grow in communication, creativity, and independence thanks to the thoughtful guidance and encouragement he receives.
We especially appreciate the weekly work plans that the daycare prepares. Each week is thoughtfully organized with a variety of age-appropriate activities that keep the children engaged while supporting their development. The work plans include creative arts and crafts, stories, songs, and interactive experiences. We love the collection of crafts our son had made during his time here and will always cherish them.
We appreciate the friendships that our son has developed with both his classmates and his teachers during his time at the Cottage. They have created a safe environment for the children to interact with one another and learn to play together. Each week, the teachers send pictures of all the activities they have done. We enjoy getting an inside look at what each day entails. It is so special to see them all grow and learn together.
One of the greatest endorsements we can give is that our family is growing, and we are already looking forward to enrolling our second child here. We are excited for our newest little one to experience the same nurturing atmosphere and wonderful foundation that our first child has been so fortunate to receive.
As parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your child is happy, loved, and learning each day. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, patience, and passion shown by every member of the staff.
