The Disney Wonder Has Arrived
The Disney Cruise Line arrived in New Orleans this past Friday, and it brought all the Disney magic with it. The Disney Wonder sails out of New Orleans with early 2020 and 2021 itineraries. And while the Wonder makes sure to bring the magic of Disney, it also mixes in some of the distinct flavor New Orleanians know and love. And, you can experience it all right here in our backyard.
You can hear jazz music during dinner at Tiana’s place where guests immerse themselves in the world of Princess and the Frog. You can taste Tiana’s New Orleans inspired cooking, mingle with the characters, and surround yourself with the sights and sounds of the Crescent City. On board, you can eat beignets and enjoy an Abita.
If you are ready to experience some Disney magic, you will find it aplenty. The famous Bippity Boppity Boutique is on board offering Princess and Pirate themed makeovers. Meet and Greets are offered with all of your favorite Disney characters throughout the ship, and there is no shortage of fantastic shows to entertain the whole family. You can watch Disney movies, join dance parties, learn the art of animation, and so much more.
One of the perks of choosing a Disney cruise is that it can be a vacation in the truest sense of the word. There is plenty of family fun to be had together, but if you want to try out the world class spa, work out, read a book on deck, or even head out for a date night in the adults only section of the ship, then there are plenty of options to allow you some kid free relaxation as well.
Childcare on board
There are multiple spaces of childcare on board. The Oceaneer’s Club is a childcare space for kids 3-12 years old and it is unlike anything your kids have every seen. Here, you will find play spaces fashioned after Dinsey classics such as Toy Story and the Marvel Universe. You will feel zero mom guilt leaving your kids to explore these spaces, and I have a feeling they won’t want to leave.
There are spaces dedicated to tweens and teens as well, and the ship really hits all the right notes for those age groups making sure that your kids will have spots that they will feel at home. You will also find a nursery on board for your smallest tots. Unlike the other childcare spaces, the nursery does require a reservation and an extra fee.
During those kid free moments, you can enjoy one of the 3 nightlife options, dine with a view at Palo, or get a couple’s massage at the spa. There is no shortage of relaxation and vacation for moms and dads as well.
And, if you are looking for experiences that only a Disney Cruise can bring, make sure to add reservations at Animator’s Palate to your itinerary. Not only is the food delicious, the experience is one you will never forget. When you arrive, each guest is given a paper in which they can draw their own character. Screens adorn the dining room, and before you know it, you will witness your drawing come to life in animation. It’s truly a memory your family won’t forget.
A Disney Cruise offers it all.
They have brought that Disney magic right here to NOLA, and you can now enjoy that Disney magic AND a world class vacation to exotic locations without ever having to set foot on a plane.
