An Investment for Your Skin :: Clarisonic Mia FIT

Before learning about the Clarisonic Mia Fit, I’ll admit that I used to be pretty lazy about my skincare routine. As a mom, I value simplicity and efficiency with all Clarisonic Mia Fitthings, but when I turned 30 I noticed that the drugstore cleanser and moisturizer weren’t cutting it anymore.

My skin looked dull, and the fine lines started to rear their ugly head. I’ve been searching for a grown-up regime to keep my skin looking youthful for as long as possible, and my routine now includes a non-toxic cleanser, toner, vitamin C serum, moisturizer and eye cream. I was a little grossed out with how much dirt and make-up the cotton ball with the toner would pick up even after cleansing my skin. Clearly my face wasn’t getting very clean using my hands to work in the soap.

Enter The Clarisonic Mia FIT

Clarisonic recently sent me their Mia FIT cleansing brush to try (for free), and I have to say it’s a serious upgrade from washing my face with my hands. The compact design is perfect for travel or to throw in a gym bag, plus it doesn’t take up too much space on my bathroom counter which is now prime real estate consideringBeauty Regimen all my new must-have products. The brush comes with a USB adaptable charging dock, and I’ve noticed that it holds a charge really well. I love that it has two speeds, so if I need some extra power after working out I can bump up the speed to get a deeper clean.

The first time I used the Mia FIT reminded me of the first time I used my electric toothbrush. Yes, it was a little hard to justify the initial investment of purchasing the $150 toothbrush compared to the $2.99 disposable variety, but the difference in how clean my teeth felt convinced me to never go back. Likewise, the Clarisonic Mia FIT is a necessary investment for your skin!

Simple to Use

I opened the box and washed my face according to the directions – after wetting my face with warm water and applying a small amount of cleanser, I spent 20 seconds on my nose and chin, 20 seconds on my forehead, 10 seconds on one cheek, and 10 seconds on the other cheek. I loved that the brush automatically shut off after one minute signaling that I was finished. After just one use, I could tell a difference in how soft and clean my skin felt, and I noticed my moisturizer absorbed much better.

A Noticeable Difference

I’ve now been using the brush for a little over a week, and I’m already starting to see a difference in the appearance of my skin. I’m using less makeup because my skin tone is more even, and my face is starting to look more radiant. I’m definitely going to add the Clarisonic to my arsenal of beauty products.

The Mia FIT comes in several awesome colors to choose from, and it offers brush heads designed for various skin types from sensitive, to acne prone, and deep pore cleansing. The brush heads should be changed when the bristles start to fan out — about every three months with regular use, as although the brush head still looks ok (unlike my electric toothbrush head), performance will start to decline unless you change it.

. With the holidays coming up, this is the perfect gift idea for the girl who has everything, or you could always treat yourself to the gift of cleaner, glowing skin!
