Three Reasons to Flock to the Peacock Room for Brunch

Three Reasons to Flock to the Peacock Room for Brunch

One of my favorite things to do with my gal pals is to head to brunch. Brunch is the only time it’s not frowned upon to be drinking before noon, and pair it with delicious food and girl talk, it’s always something I look forward to. A couple of times a year, my friends and I go to brunch and when looking for our next spot, someone suggested the Peacock Room

The Peacock Room is located inside of the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot which is located on Tchoupitoulas. To say we enjoyed brunch here is an understatement. My friends and I loved every aspect of our brunch at the Peacock Room.

Here are 3 reasons to flock to the Peacock Room for brunch.

Flock to the Peacock Room. The Atmosphere

The moment we walked into the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, we experienced the WOW factor. This chic and trendy hotel impressed us at first glance. The Peacock Room is located just past the front desk and once you enter you feel transformed back into the 1920s. The atmosphere engulfs you with the deep teal colors, eclectic furniture and striking prints and patterns throughout the lounge, restaurant and cocktail bar. This space is beyond Instagram worthy for posts and reels.

The Drinks

The drinks at brunch may be more important than the food itself. The Pelican Room boasts an eclectic bar and an impressive bar menu. It’s full of all the classics and a fun spin on some fun cocktails. Besides being delicious, their cocktail drinks are visually appealing and some come in some fanciful cups. You can even have some punch for 2 served as Afternoon Tea. And did I mention they have Chambongs? So order a flight for the gals and get your camera ready for some fun boomerangs.

The Food

The brunch menu boasts fun starters for groups. We decided to start with the Peacock Brunch Tower. And whoa, it was as delicious as it was beautiful! It had a little bit of everything from biscuits, deviled eggs, pimento cheese and bread pudding french toast. The show stopper from the tower was the truffle pork cracklins! We also had to try their Brussel sprouts and truffle fries. They were both given a thumbs up by our crew. Other standouts were the Croque Monsieur and the pimento cheese grits.

So get your girls together and flock to The Peacock Room. You won’t be disappointed!
