I’m a girl that lives for comfort more than style. I work a job that allows me to wear jeans and a uniform t-shirt most days of the month, and I sleep in oversized t-shirts and boxers. I appreciate fashion, but comfort will always win in my book.
Mox Shoes :: The Comfortable and Stylish Shoe Solution
When I was asked to give Mox Shoes a test run, I got excited. Mox started in Austrailia in 2011, the vision of a stay-at-home mom who knew women needed a versatile but comfortable shoe. Her family visited the (now) Mox USA owner and brought her a pair as a gift, and she knew she had to bring them stateside.
As I did my research, I saw that they came in great colors and the price was right. They reminded me of the jellies that I wore and loved as a kid. Every summer, my parents would take me shopping for my pair of jellies; I’d get to pick the color and it was my favorite day. When jellies came back in style a few years ago I happily ran out and bought some, but they hurt, a lot, and I was never able to break them in. It was a big disappointment.
For my Mox trial, I chose gold (for Saints games and Mardi Gras, of course) and patiently waited for them to arrive. I didn’t have to be patient long-they shipped incredibly fast. I slipped them on and I was immediately in love. The only way I could describe it was as if Toms and jellies had a baby. They were soft and molded to my feet like Toms, but fashionable enough that I could wear in a multitude of ways. I wore them for hours that night. They were broken in with a short walk down the street to our neighbor’s house.
I decided to really put them to the test as a bridesmaid in a DIY wedding. I helped set up and break down the decor on top of all of the dancing and fun in the middle. They sold themselves that night; everyone wanted to know where I got them and how they could get their own. These shoes really were as comfortable and stylish as I had hoped.
Since then, I’ve been wearing them to work and on weekends, with shorts and dresses. They’ve molded to my feet and they’re breathable, even in the stifling NOLA humidity. I really do mean it when I say that these Mox Shoes are my new favorite shoes.
Glad you love your Mox, Lindsay! You made us laugh out loud with your comment of “The only way I could describe it was as if Toms and jellies had a baby.” You are so right!
