I Tried and Enjoyed the New Crescent 9 THC Seltzer
If you’re anything like me, you’re realizing that May is absolutely flying by and summer is fast approaching. Summer Jillian (that’s the summer version of me!) craves a refreshing drink whether that’s a mocktail recipe I’m trying out, a summertime margarita, or a new flavor of kombucha. It’s fun to have something on hand after, or during, a hot day. As much as I enjoy the occasional alcoholic beverage, in recent years I’ve also been open to learning about the safe and relaxing effects of THC. That’s why I was so interested to try the new Crescent 9 THC Seltzer, a federally legal hemp-derived cannabis drink. The fact that it’s made by a company right here in New Orleans piqued my interest even further. The drink is naturally flavored and contains 6 mg of Delta-9 THC, 3 mg of CBD, and a splash of caffeine.
Now listen. If your eyebrows are slightly raised about the concept of a THC seltzer, I get it. My experience with THC is not extensive and actually was previously limited to medical marijuana drops and a vape pen that I took during chemo treatment under direction from my doctor (that is another conversation, but those greatly mitigated the horrible chemo side effects). When considering a cannabis product, I understand that there can be a stigma surrounding it especially for parents. In any group of mothers, you’ll find some regular partakers of gummies, some who have medical marijuana in their bathroom cabinet, and some who don’t feel comfortable with it at all. And like anything, that’s totally understandable! The good news is we all get to make decisions about what we consume. We all have our own reference point for this specific topic and the opinions will, appropriately, include a large range of comfort.
But, if you are on the hunt for a new, refreshing drink to enjoy, this seltzer is genuinely a great option. I can say that confidently now that I have tasted it myself. There’s even research to show that cannabis can have positive health benefits when used in moderation. As for this seltzer, I really enjoyed the mango flavor and loved that it’s naturally flavored with mango puree. I also appreciated the low-calorie, low-carb and low-sugar profile of the drink. I’m not really interested in consuming large amounts of sugar in my drinks because I don’t care for that taste or the impacts on my body. Again, personal preference, but it was a huge bonus that Crescent 9 accomplished a great tasting beverage without the sugar.
And if you’re curious about the after effects, it’s good to know that – because of its low dose – Crescent 9 won’t overwhelm you. You’ll feel soothing effects 15 to 30 minutes after drinking Crescent 9 THC Seltzer, and they’ll last for 1-3 hours. I really loved how this beverage tasted and enjoyed the relaxing effects that are similar to other seltzers I’ve enjoyed. Obviously the impact would increase in greater consumption, but I was happy with just one.
I just tried the Strawberry Lemonade flavor and it was delicious. However, in one can the serving size is 12. Seriously, am I reading that wrong? That would mean, drinking a full can would be the calorie count times 12, or over 1200 calories a can. Please tell me I’m wrong.
You’re wrong.
I tried half and was SOOOO stoned, I do not recommend this drink to anyone that wants to function. I can’t believe they sell them in grocery stores!
Same experience, i tried strawberry lemonade 50mg and we drank a can in half.
It was the worst experience I’ve ever had
I took one sip and immediately started crying
