Summer Safety Tip: Why The Color of Your Child’s Swimsuit Matters

It’s hot outside, y’all! Sunny days are ahead and along with that comes swimming. One of the things my sons look forward to each year is picking out a new swimsuit. If you walk into a department store, you will be flooded with options. From cartoon characters to fun designs and solid colors, there are so many to choose from! However, have you ever thought about what was the safest color to wear while swimming?

Sadly, drowning is one of the top causes of death among children. Our best efforts as parents to prevent this are to always be aware and undistracted while watching kids in the pool, take swim lessons, and choose a swimsuit with the most visible color underwater.
