Frozen. You may have heard of it? The movie that has captivated kids and parents alike. The movie that has spawned endless topics on message boards and blogs, has inspired the production of countless videos of children belting out Let it Go on YouTube, and subjected some parents to four hour lines at Disney World, waiting to have their little ones meet Elsa and Anna.
After seeing it three (yes, three) times in the theater, and about 100 times since the DVD arrived on our doorstep last week, I have some questions about this film. Important questions, such as:
Why didn’t their parents listen to Grand Pabbie? They took Elsa to the trolls for help, yet completely disregard the advice. Grand Pabbie says for Elsa to learn to control her powers and not to fear them. Somehow, her dad took that to mean “Conceal it, don’t feel it…don’t let it show.”
Does Elsa have to wear gloves into the shower to avoid freezing the water?
Why doesn’t the mom speak more? Throughout the movie, she has maybe one line, and given the gravity of the situation, I would assume she would have more to say on the matter.
Did Bulda the troll kidnap Kristoff and Sven?
Where were their parents going? I read a theory about that here. Pretty interesting. Could that be the reason why Rapunzel shows up at Elsa’s coronation? Speaking of, did Rapunzel and Flynn get stuck in Arendelle until the winter was over?
Is the owner or Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post (and Sauna) talking to his family in the hot tub, or a random family?
Did Elsa know that the snow monster would try to kill Anna and Kristoff?
Are Hans’ brothers partially responsible for Hans being a complete sociopath? I mean, pretending someone is invisible for two years would probably have a lasting affect on a person’s psyche.
Will I ever get tired of hearing Let it Go?
Why does Kristoff smell?
You can file this under: things I never thought I’d think twice about….until I had kids.
I know this is an old blog, but my biggest question…
How does using the restroom work in an ice castle?
This is so funny to read. I am planning to right own blog post about mental health stuff in the film and about how I constantly try to let go and so still love the song 🙂 great blog post thanks. Was mainly googling about why Kristof did not mention he knew Anna had been healed by troll before.
I prefer Ana to Elsa,
And I think the Ice man and Olaf are both reflections of Elsa! Olaf-the loved side, the not afraid of her powers side, the Ice man is her scared, angry side!
