Holiday Events at Canal Place (Events throughout November and December) ::  Check back soon for the fun events going on at Canal Place throughout December!

St. Ann School Christmas Boutique (November 8 | 7pm-10pm) :: Come to St. Ann to get an early start on your holiday shopping with local vendors.

St. Matthew the Apostle Holiday Market (November 17th | 10am-4pm) :: Crafts, Shopping, and door prizes will be available at this festive and fabulous event!

Merry Monograms Holiday Shopping Event at Monogram Express (November 17 | 10am-3pm) :: Crafts, monograms, special appearances by favorite holiday characters, and holiday treats will all be available at this Merry Event!

The Holiday Bazaar by ALG Style (November 25 | 10am-4pm) :: Deck the halls without going to the mall! Join the fabulous teams of ALG style and favorite local boutiques at The Cannery to  sip, shop, and get your groove on!

Signature Holiday Style at Longue Vue House and Gardens ( November 29 | 4pm-7pm) :: Each year we invite local designers to decorate rooms in Longue Vue. During Signature Holiday Style Opening Night, you can tour the rooms, meet the designers, sip festive beverages, and shop for gifts! Mario Villa is our featured vendor, and his beautiful jewelry will be available in the main house. Holiday vendors also return to the Playhouse for a holiday market. This event $10 and is a fun way to kick-off the holidays after Thanksgiving.

Steinhauer Productions’ Christmas Extravaganza Arts and Crafts Expo (November 30- December 2) ::Featuring more than 500 artists and craftspersons from a multi-state area, plus 20 food booths, at the St. Tammany Parish Fairgrounds in Covington. Three big days–Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 30 through December 2nd, 2018, from 10am to 5pm each day.

Holiday Boutique at De La Salle (December 1 | 8:30am-1pm) :: This event is combined with a breakfast with Santa. Holiday shopping and entertainment will be available along with crafts for the kids. Santa arrives by streetcar at 9:30am!

Waldorf School Winter Faire and Tree Sale (December 1 | 10am-4pm) :: Crafts, a book fair, gifts and entertainment await you at the Waldorf School!

Ringing In the Arts at the Gretna Farmer’s Market (December 1 | 5pm-8pm) :: The City of Gretna invites you to our Fine Art Evening Festival celebrating a Victorian Christmas. Join us for an evening of fine art, music, a parade of prizes, People’s Choice Award, and refreshments in our outdoor gallery against the dramatic backdrop of our quaint city.

Freret Street Holiday Markets (December 1 & 8 | 12:00pm – 4:00pm) :: The Freret Street Market hosts two markets in December so you can get all of your Holiday shopping done. Live music, food, and dozens of local vendors will be on hand.

Sips of the Season Stroll (December 7 | 5pm-9pm) :: The Old Mandeville Business Association presents its 6th Annual stroll through historic Old Mandeville. Fill your mug (pre-purchase required) with signature holiday beverages, do some shopping, and enjoy Trolley rides while getting into the holiday spirit!

Palmer Park Holiday Market (December 15 & 16 | 10:00am – 4:00pm) :: The Arts Council of New Orleans presents the Palmer Park Art Market at the corner of Palmer & Claiborne. Food, fun, and plenty of great handmade gifts  by local artisans will be for sale.

St. Tammany Christmas Celebration Expo (December 21 & 22 | 10am-4pm) :: The St Tammany Christmas Celebration Expo on Brownswitch Rd in Slidell is a completely indoors market. The expo will have Christmas themed food, refreshments & spirits, over 60 vendors in rotation, Santa’s Workshop & Elves! $5 a person.

Lindsay is a native New Orleanian, displaced only by her years at Mississippi State, where she earned a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries and a minor in English. She came home shortly after Katrina, to work as a zookeeper and be a part of the rebuilding of her beloved city. She dragged her husband Drake, a Tennessee native, along with her. Their son Bennett joined the family in 2010, and in 2014 they welcomed identical twin girls, Genevieve and Kellen Clair. She now works full time as an Environmental Scientist and part-time as NOM’s resident Jill of All Trades. Powered by espresso, cake, and craft beer, her happy place is on a beach or in the woods. Need to identify a plant, tree, or animal? Lindsay’s a wealth of random knowledge. She loves to cook and sprinkle a little glitter on everything.
