You Can Make 2017 YOUR Year

Hey mama! I’m talking to you. Yes, you. The mom who is always running late, skips showers more often than she’d like to admit, hasn’t asked for the much deserved raise, didn’t graduate college, yells at her kids too often, can’t drop the excess weight, doesn’t spend enough quality time with her husband or who just cannot get her sh*t together for one reason or another, I have a message for you … you can make 2017 your year!

2017If we have learned anything from 2016 it is that life is too short. You get ONE shot at this thing called life, and it is time to make the most of it. What is stopping you from achieving your goals? Fear? Take note from Jon Acuff and Punch Fear in the Face. Lack of confidence? Check out this book by Jen Sincero titled, “You Are a Badass.” Not enough time? MAKE THE TIME. Take stock of how you spend your days. Can you give just 15 minutes a day to work toward your goals?

Mama, you’ve got this. Whatever has been holding you back, do away with it in 2017. This is a new year, a fresh start, a perfect chance to reassess your goals and desires, specifically the ones you’ve wanted to reach for years now, and just GO FOR IT.

Do you want to start a business? Do it. Dedicate the time to get it started. Do you want to get in shape? Join a gym, download Couch to 5k, or at the very least, start by taking a brisk walk. Are you looking to get promoted at work? Take the steps, invest in your job and be brave enough to ask for that promotion! Maybe you are looking to be a more devoted wife/mother … what does that look like to you? Yelling less? Spending more quality time together? Make plans and take action this year!! You can DO IT! (said in my best Rob Schneider voice)

You can make 2017 the year of your success story.

No matter what has held you back before, 2017 is a year of possibilities. You deserve great things. Start the year believing you can reach your goals.

What is it you want to accomplish that has alluded you in the past? Resolve to change that this year. Whether you need a goal, a to-do list, a word of the year- whatever you need to do, do it now. Not next week, not next month, right now.

As much as I believe you can fulfill your dreams and goals, I am definitely writing this to myself. I struggle with confidence, business growth, being a good mom, losing weight and getting in shape. I want to, no I need to believe that 2017 will be different. That I will be different this year. Join me.

Look out 2017, we’re coming for you.
