Our Top 10 Snack Ideas to Beat the Summer Heat

If your kids are like mine, they are always in the pantry or the refrigerator looking for a snack. Here in Louisiana, we also have to deal with the unbearable heat of summer. Below are some great snacks to beat the heat as well as beat your family’s hunger (at least for a little while).

Kool-Aid Slushies: Make this option your own by using your favorite flavor of Kool-Aid mix!

Frozen Banana Yogurt Pops: We’re bananas for these yogurt pops!

Strawberry Popsicles: Put those strawberries you picked to good use with this delicious and refreshing option!

Beach Bear Dirt Cups: These dirt cups are a summer spin on the traditional Halloween cups we love in the Fall!

Fruit Necklaces: Who said you can’t play with your food?

Watermelon Ice: This option is so refreshing and will be sure to cool you off this summer!

Rainbow Popsicles: This is great for preschoolers who are learning their colors!

Ice Cream in a Bag: This is so easy and you most likely already have the ingredients at home!

Ice Box Pie: This option is great because you can do just about any flavor that you want! We love lemon and strawberry in our home!

Summer Sand Pudding: Why not bring a little bit of the beach home with you?

What are some of your family’s favorite summer treats to try at home?
