5 Fun Back To School Cocktails For Moms

Back to School can be a stressful time for both parents and kids. Moms are stressing about making sure they have all the kid’s school supplies. Trying to make cute back to school signs or gifts for the new teachers. It’s a lot and it is stressful! Here are some fun, Back to School cocktail recipes for you Momma. Time for those creative juices to benefit you and some of your girlfriends!

Blueberry Lemon Drop Your Kid Off at School Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp blueberries
  • 1.5 oz lemon juice (fresh works best)
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz vodka

Step 1: Muddle the blueberries in a cocktail shaker.
Step 2: Add the lemon juice, simple syrup, vodka and ice.
Step 3: Cover with a lid and shake for a few seconds until chilled.
Step 4: Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Back to School Tini 

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Titos vodka
  • 0.5 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
  • 0.5 oz apple juice
  • Splash of Grenadine
  • Cute apple slice for garnish

Step 1:  Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
Step 2: Pour in the vodka, coconut rum, and apple juice into the shaker.
Step 3: Add a splash of Grenadine.
Step 4: Shake well and strain into a martinis glass. Garnish with an apple slice.

Pencil Eraser

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon (cut into 8 wedges)
  • 3 strawberries, hulled and quartered lengthwise
  • 4 ounces simple syrup
  • 6 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice

Step 1:  Muddle the lemon wedges and strawberries in a cocktail shaker.
Step 2:  Add simple syrup and shake.
Step 3: Add ice, vodka, and cranberry juice.
Step 4: Shake well and garnish with a strawberry.

Bahama Mama

Pretend like you’re on a beach vacation and not like you did not sweat your butt off in the pick up carpool line.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 oz of orange juice
  • 1 oz of pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz rum (white or golden) Personally I like the golden rum because it makes the drink taste sweeter 
  • 0.5 oz coconut-flavored rum

Step 1: Combine crushed ice, orange juice, pineapple juice, rum, coconut-flavored rum, and grenadine in a blender.
Step 2: Blend until the drink’s consistency is slushy/creamy.

Spiked Lemonade

Lemonade for Moms while the kids have a playdate. 

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups of sugar
  • 5 cups water (divided throughout the recipe)
  • 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest
  • 1.5 cups of lemon juice
  • 1 cup light rum or vodka
  • 6 to 8 cups ice cubes

Step 1: In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, 1 cup of water and lemon zest. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, about 4 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Step 2: Stir in the lemon juice and remaining water. Pour into a 2-qt. pitcher; refrigerate until chilled.
Step 3: Stir in the rum or vodka .
Step 4: Pour lemonade mixture into glass. Garnish with lemon slices.
