Date Night at City Putt {in New Orleans City Park}

Evenings out without kids have been pretty slim to none lately, so when I was asked to experience City Putt in City Park specifically without children in tow I jumped at the opportunity. I know City Putt has been around for a couple years now but due to whatever reason my husband and I have never had the chance to head out there for a round of putt putt. This week, we secured a sitter and headed on over to City Park for a fun-filled kid free night! city putt

We decided to go to City Putt right around 7:00pm as the sun is starting to go down so that it wasn’t blazing hot. Check in was really easy and we chose the color of our golf balls (I went with hot pink, of course) and got our score cards. From there you can chose from either a Louisiana or New Orleans themed 18 hole course. We went with the New Orleans theme, naturally.

New Orleans City PuttLet me just tell you, each hole at City Putt has precious decorations ranging from a carousel horse to a boiling pot of seafood to the historic Mr. Bingle!! It’s truly adorable. Every hole has a street tile citing New Orleans metro area streets like Magazine, Causeway, etc. Since I sadly came to the realization that I’m pretty awful at mini golf, I loved seeing all the NOLA themed decorations at every step.

Besides my husband beyond kicking my butt at mini golf, we had a fantastic time! It was so different than our typical nights out which include drinks, dinner and give or take a movie. If you are looking for a different type of night out, I strongly suggest heading over to City Putt. They even serve beer and wine; now that’s a hole in one!
