10 Kirkland Brand Products We Can’t Live Without at Costco

Disclosure: we are thrilled that one of our personal favorite stores, Costco, is also an official sponsor. Our team genuinely loves shopping at Costco, and it is an honor that they want to hear what we have to say!

The Costco Experience

Costco is my family’s go-to store for just about everything from household items like lightbulbs and toilet paper to organic produce and canned tomatoes. If I could buy things like fresh cilantro there, I probably wouldn’t shop anywhere else. I’m able to meal plan and tailor my shopping trips to fit my budget all while feeling great about the products I bring home to my children and family. Costco’s Kirkland Signature Brand products are a staple in our household and, unlike the store brands of my youth, my kids can’t taste a difference. In fact, they rave about the Costco samples!

Here’s just a handful of the Kirkland products we can’t get enough of:

Kirkland Bacon Crumbles :: Mmmm, bacon. Pre-cooked, work-already-done-for-me, crumbly deliciousness. At our house, this 100% real smoked bacon goes in omelets, grits, frittatas, salads, balsamic-bacon roasted brussels sprouts, on top of baked potatoes and so much more. The opportunities are endless.

Kirkland Organic Chicken Stock :: I use this flavorful stock instead of water in my rice cooker, in gravies, and as the base for most of my soups. I make a butternut squash soup with the fresh cubed butternut squash and heavy cream Costco carries that is a fall staple for our family. I may or may not throw some of that crumbled bacon on top.

Kirkland Imported Double Cream French Brie :: Heaven is a piece of warm french bread with brie and figs. Wrap a round of brie in crescent roll dough (also sold at Costco) for an easy and delicious appetizer that can be made into sweet or savory appetizers fit for a fancy party or a night at home celebrating the wonders of cheese.

Kirkland Soft & Chewy Granola Bars :: My kids and husband love the chocolate chip & oat bars. They’re great for snack bags, lunches, and the occasional running late breakfast (don’t judge). My picky five-year-old turns his nose at a lot of things, but he scarfs these down whenever I let him.

Kirkland Minced Garlic :: Cajun blood flows through my veins; there is never enough garlic in anything. It lasts forever in the fridge, and it saves time over peeling and mincing my own garlic. I make my own marinara (using Kirkland brand tomato paste, sauce, and tomatoes, of course) and freeze in five-serving batches to defrost for easy weeknight meals.

Kirkland Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets :: A popular road trip and after school treat at our house, these treats satisfy our need for salty but hearty snacks. My husband loves to bring them in his car so he can get something to eat in between a long day of teaching and coaching flag football. The protein carries him over until dinner time.

Kirkland Dog Food :: My dogs are pretty picky about their chow. I’ve tried expensive brands that they wouldn’t touch, but the Kirkland dog food comes in a variety of options and the first ingredient is always meat! For my older Beagle, foods can really upset his stomach if it’s not a quality ingredient, but he does great with Kirkland Brand food.

Kirkland Organic Coconut Water :: Not only does this come in those oh-so-convenient individual servings, but they don’t have an artificial coconut flavor. My 2-year-old LOVES them, and I can feel good about giving him his “juice.”

Kirkland Bath Tissue :: Ok. For real, though. It’s so soft and cushy. Just… try it!

Kirkland Ultraclean Laundry Soap :: I have 3 BOYS and 3 dogs. My house is a zoo. No, really. It is. I do not mess around when it comes to detergent, but I also have a child with very sensitive skin who does not react to this detergent. Therefore, Kirkland detergent is a winner for our house.

And just for fun, here’s a few more things we love about Kirkland Brand Products:

  • Kirkland Brand wines and liquors are fantastic. Their reasonable prices make throwing a New Orleans get-together easy and affordable
  • Costco meat is USDA Choice grade or better, with multiple organic options
  • If you shop online (shipping included in price) you can get grass-fed, authentic wagyu, sockeye, or organic – you name it!
  • Kirkland Brand milk, cheese, and egg prices are really hard to beat
  • Kirkland Brand nut butters contain no added sugar
