With the wet week we are currently having, I’ve decided to compile a list of things you can do in New Orleans that is kid-friendly (and the surrounding areas) when it rains. Some of these are obvious choices BUT after asking our team of 40 +moms, this list is comprised of ideas to kill the rainy day blues in your household. Whether you are one to stay home on rainy days OR don your favorite raincoat and boots, we have ideas for you!

Mary is a caffeine addicted boy mom to Noah, Liam and Luke. This “stay at home” mom can typically been found cruising in her minivan, jamming to Beyonce with a Starbucks in hand on her way to carpool or after school activities. Mary has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2007. She is a founder of Delivering Hope NOLA and the Vanessa Wolff Scholarship Fund at her Alma Mater. Mary is passionate in the local preemie community and has been heavily involved with the March of Dimes since her sons Liam and Luke were born premature.

  1. Thanks for this great list! Bookoo Bounce has unfortunately closed permanently. Clue Carré Escape Games is a great indoor activity for older kids. We usually recommend it for 8 and up with the presence of an adult or 14 and up on their own. We have locations downtown, in Metairie by Lakeside Mall, and inside of Surge Trampoline Park!

  2. Bad Wolf is a restaurant and game store in Belle Chasse that has a ton of fun board games available for families to play on premises. Rentals are only $3 per game but are free if you purchase food. Wednesdays kids eat half off and Thursdays they waive all board game rental fees and if you dine in they give families a free pack of Pokemon cards
