2014 Children’s World’s Fair at Louisiana Children’s Museum
You have the unique opportunity to explore “Waters of the World” during a daylong journey at the Children’s World’s Fair on Saturday, March 22 at the Louisiana Children’s Museum (420 Julia Street, New Orleans). Explore the cultural diversity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with relation to water and the great oceans, rivers and lakes of our planet.
The Children’s World’s Fair is a unique adventure where children and families celebrate cultures across the globe. Our great big world becomes a little smaller as fair-goers explore the games music, literature, native attire crafts and flavors of destinations including: Australia, Columbia, Greece, Haiti, Italy, Nicaragua, India and South Africa.
This intergenerational journey will begin with the Early Explorers Patron Party from 10 a.m. until noon. Patron Party guests can get a first look at the country exhibits without the crowds and receive an exclusive patron treat bag for young globetrotters. Early Explorer patron packages begin at $100 for a Family 4-Pack or individual tickets are $30 per person.
At noon, all adventurers are invited to join the fun. Enjoy cultural performances throughout the day and engaging activities in each country exhibit. General Admission (noon – 4:30 pm) tickets are $20 each ($16 each for LCM Members if purchased in advance) and can be purchased in advance at www.lcm.org. I haven’t been to the LCM since my son was born, but my favorite part (when I was young) used to be the mini-grocery store!
I love the new water exhibit! My kids are having so much fun playing together (a 9yo boy and a 3yo girl)!
My son enjoys everything at the LCM!
I’ve never been but it looks like a great time! It’s now on my list of things to do when my nieces and nephews come visit
Aamirah (3mo) and I have not been to the LCM yet, but we’re really looking forward to it!
love lcm – great place for the kids to learn and burn energy – and it’s inside!
