Barn Hill Preserve

Best NOLA Pumpkin Patches

Barn Hill Preserve has SO much fun to offer your family this Fall! Pumpkin Patch admission is $17.50 per person for one day and ages 2 and under are free! This includes a self-guided tour of our zoological park, petting zoo, kangaroo walkabout, fall games, a free small pumpkin, wagon rides, face painting, inflatables, and theme weekend activities! The patch opens at 10 am and closes at 2 pm every Saturday and Sunday.

  • Prehistoric Patch: Dinosaurs have taken over Barn Hill’s pumpkin patch! September 30th, October 1st, 21st, 22nd, Nov 4th, 5th

St. Paul's Episcopal School Pumpkin Patch in Lakeview

Visit Lakeview’s Premier Pumpkin Patch at St. Paul’s Episcopal School. Pick a plump pumpkin and take a festive fall photo with their autumnal backdrop!

The patch is open Monday-Friday 3:30 pm-6 pm; Saturday 10 am-6 pm, and Sunday 10 am-5 pm. October 7th-30th!

New Orleans Area Pumpkin Patches

First Presbyterian Church

Ghost In The Oaks

Location: 5 Victory Avenue New Orleans, LA

Event Details: Ghosts in the Oaks features trick-or-treating, arts & crafts, pumpkin patch and hot-dog roasting around the campfire. Admission Price: $22-$30

St. Paul’s Episcopal School

Event Details: St. Paul’s provides pumpkins of all sizes, from 3 pounds to over 40 pounds. Photo ops are available. No cash. Credit and debit cards only.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch

Location:1031 S. Carrollton Ave. (Uptown)

Dates: September 22nd through October 30th

Times: Saturday through Thursday 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, Friday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Event details: Kid friendly –  games, crafts, and photo spots. Cash, Venmo, and credit are all accepted.

Special Event: Thursday October 19, 2023 – 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm. Interact with important administrators, faculty members, staff, parents, and students. They have planned engaging activities for children ranging from 12 months to Grade 8 and beyond. Participate in some of the following activities: Plant pumpkin seeds and learn how they grow. Get into it and dissect a pumpkin. Discover the wonders of mathematics using pumpkins to explore concepts such as weight, circumference, estimation, and so much more.

Sugar Roots Farm

Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth

Location: Royal Street French Quarter New Orleans, LA

Dates: several days in September beginning September 22 and most days in October through the 31st.

Event Details: The city’s newest Halloween tradition is here. The Wicked Labyrinth features hundreds of intricately carved pumpkins. Experience amazing carvings, stunning Jack-O’-Lantern tunnel and animations come to life right before your eyes. Click their website to find tickets, locations, dates and times.

They offer general admission and VIP admission. Adults $20, Kids $16 and kids 3 and under are free. Tickets are limited and sold in time slots so be sure to pick your day/time before tickets sell out.

Metairie & Kenner Area Pumpkin Patches

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church

Location: 2216 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA

Event Details: Pumpkins and gourds of all sizes and colors. Red M Studio will be at the patch Friday, Oct 20th 3pm to 6pm and on Sunday, Oct 22nd 11am to 5pm. Free photos with food/cash donation to Second Harvest.

St. Augustine Church

TRICK-OR-TREATING: More than 60 businesses and families will populate Lakeview Regional Medical Center’s park in front of the hospital with or cute or creepy trick-or-treat houses. Children of all abilities will be able to easily access the houses along the paved walking path.

Banting’s Nursery

Adult tickets are $5. Monster Mash is a community-beloved fall family festival that has been ingrained in the Northshore community for 35 years. A fundraiser in support of the STHS Parenting Center, Monster Mash features a fun and safe Halloween experience, complete with trick-or-treating, music, cookie decorating, crafts, carnival rides and so much more.

    Can you please add Banting’s Nursery to the pumpkin patch list? They offer a huge variety of pumpkins and a fall family photo area!
    They are open 7 days a week. Located in Bridge City and Lacombe.

  2. There are NO pumpkins at Scout Island! I went there based on this. It is not a family friendly event even in the daytime. There were depictions of mutilated bodies, frightening clowns and inappropriate music. Please revise your list so other parents of young children do not make the same mistake .
