Easter Egg Hunts

New Orleans Mom: POSTPONED. New date to be determined. Families attending the 8th annual event can expect unlimited food and drink, entertainment, live ponies, age divided egg hunts, face painting, jewelry making, giveaways, and amazing swag. The event is from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Children’s Hospital State St. campus. Everyone over 6 months old needs a ticket. VIP packages are available. Adults tickets $20, children 6 months and older $25.

Longue Vue Easter Egg Hunt: CANCELLED. Tickets will be refunded.

ZOO2U Easter EGGStravaganza: March 29 and April 5th, 2020. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, his springtime babies, and all the other farm animals. There will also be pony rides, face painting, and games. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks. $20 per person (cash only). Children 12 months and under are free.

Easter Experience and Egg Hunt hosted by First Baptist Church Marrero: April 5, 2020.  Everyone is welcome to join in the fun after the 10:30 am service. Lunch will be served after the service and the egg hunt will follow.

Mount Carmel Academy Easter Eggstravaganza: April 4, 2020. It is going to be an egg-cellent morning full of train rides, egg hunts by age, crafts, games, breakfast, and the Easter Bunny. Tickets are $8 (children over 1 year) and $10 (adults) in advance, $10 (children over 1) and $12 (adults) at the door. Children under 1 year are free. Hunt times are: 0-2 10:20 am, 3-5 11:00 am, and 6+ at 11:30 am. Make sure to bring your own basket. Pictures with the bunny will be available for purchase.

Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman’s 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: April 4, 2020. This Easter Egg hunt is free and open to the public. It consists of three Easter Egg Hunts, starting with a hunt for children ages 1-3 at 11 a.m.; children ages 4 – 6 at 11:15 a.m.; children ages 7+ at 11:30 a.m. There will also be sack races, face painting, and arts and crafts. Children and their parents are encouraged to arrive early and register to receive same-day, free admission to the Audubon Zoo. It is located at Audubon Riverview “The Fly” behind Audubon Zoo from 10:00am-1:00pm. Volunteers ages 14 and up are needed.

NORD Commission’s Easter Eggstravaganza (Behrman Memorial Park & Joe W. Brown Park): April 4, 2020. It’s NORDC’s 7th annual Easter Eggstravaganza! Kids can meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs filled with candy and prizes. They will have face painting, space walks, carnival style games, races, and refreshments. It is free and open to all. Please bring your own Easter basket. 11:00am-2:00pm

City Park Egg Scramble: April 4th and 5th, 2020. They will have music, face painting, the Easter Bunny, and a balloon artist. There will be 36,000 eggs for your kids to find. 9am-12pm. $10/person General Admission or $5/person Friends of City Park members. Babies under 1 year old will be admitted free. City Park will provide a basket. The Easter Egg hunt begins at 10 am. There will be 100 golden eggs containing tickets to City Park attractions.

NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival: April 4, 2020. Join NOMA for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be art activities, bounce houses, music, face painting, hula hooping, a juggler/magician and a petting zoo.  10 am- 1pm, $10/NOMA Member (Adults and Children), $15/Non-Member (Adults and Children), $18 (NOMA Member and Non-Member, Day of Event), Children 2 and under are free.

First Lady Easter Egg Hunt: April 5, 2020. Hop on over to St. Bernard Parish to enjoy a day of activities including egg hunt, Easter Bunny pictures, games, obstacle course, train rides, and more. First Lady Laurie McInnis and Parish President Guy McInnis are hosting this free family event from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for children ages 10 and under.

Spring Fling at Algiers Plaza: April 5, 2020. A fun FREE family event put on by Macaroni Kid Westbank and Algiers Plaza. Take photos with the Easter Bunny. In addition, there will be a DJ, video game truck, face painting, a tumble bus, and more! From 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Please bring your own Easter basket. 11:00am-2:00pm

Liuzza Land’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 11th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm in Amite, Louisiana. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance. You can also hunt for eggs, pick strawberries, have your face painted and enjoy pony rides in addition to a petting zoo. Open to all ages. Egg hunts will be divided by age groups. Tickets are $10. Children under 2 are free. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase. You must print out your confirmation email receipt and bring it with you as proof of purchase.

Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt at First Baptist Kenner: April 11, 2020. From 5:00 – 7:00 pm; the egg hunt will start at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to join in the fun of food, crafts, snoballs, and of course the egg hunt. There will even be some giveaways.

 

Easter Parades

37th Annual Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parade: April 12, 2020. The parade will begin at the corner of St. Louis and Royal at 1:00 pm, continue down Royal to Canal to St. Phillip Street and conclude on St. Louis and Royal at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. Colorful floats will throw Easter trinkets. After the parade, you can enjoy a champagne brunch at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel.

The 21th Annual Official Gay Easter Parade: April 12, 2020. This parade highlights the creative LGBT community. Beautiful Easter hats will be in abundance! It starts at 4:30 pm.

Easter Brunches/Teas/Parties

 

Kids Easter Cooking and Craft: March 22nd and March 29th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Head on over to Empty Nest Cafe and Bar in Metairie and learn how to make a special Easter breakfast and edible craft. $10.00 per child. Please call 455-7040 for reservations. This event is expected to sell out so please call soon.

Ruby Slipper Spring Break Special: April 6th – 11th, 2020. All Ruby Slipper locations will have Spring pancake decorating for the kids to enjoy. Each order includes 3 mini pancakes, Spring themed sprinkles, cream cheese icing, a breakfast meat, and a drink. Cost is $10/child. No reservation required. Just ask for the special when ordering.

Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt: April 11, 2020. Every bunny is invited to hop on over to St. Matthew’s UMC from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for breakfast and an egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance. Reservations are recommended. Call (504)888-1155 or email Kay [email protected].

Easter Brunch at The Roosevelt: April 12, 2020. Celebrate Easter with an elegant brunch buffet and live entertainment at the Roosevelt Hotel. Pricing is $89 for adults and $35 for children 3-10 years old. Call (504)335-3129 to make a reservation.
