With the fall weather picking up and Halloween around the corner, I decided to put together a themed dinner one night to welcome the new season. Hocus Pocus is our favorite Halloween movie! So, I opened the refrigerator in hopes of inspiration. Out the corner of my eye, a carton of eggs grabbed my attention. BREAKFAST FOR DINNER! My kids love breakfast food, but rarely have the time or the appetite in the morning to fully enjoy some of their favorites. My oldest daughter’s favorite way to eat eggs is “egg-in-a-nest”/ “egg-in-a-basket” / “egg-in-a-hole”. I questioned how I could tie a breakfast-dinner meal into a Hocus Pocus movie night? That’s when I realized I could turn “egg-in-a-nest” into “eye-in-a-book”. That’s all it took- an ordinary breakfast meal with just a creative touch. Voila! I had created a budget-friendly, easy, fun, meal that the entire family can enjoy!
“Another Glorious Morning” Breakfast (for Dinner)
- Eye-in-a-Book (Egg-in-a-nest)
- “Dead Man’s Toes” (Fried Hotdogs)
- Sanderson Sisters’ Sausages
- Hocus Pocus Ham
- Glass of Witches Blood (Sparkling grape juice- served in a wine glass!)
We had fall-inspired cupcakes that night for dessert, but we also enjoy Nestle Toll House “Hocus Pocus” cookies.
