Top Gifts for Teenagers This Christmas

One of my love languages is gift giving. I have always been that person that will see something for a friend and buy it and give it them for no other reason than to make them smile. I take a lot of time and effort to make sure the gifts I give are practical, meaningful, or just downright funny.

As my son got older, the thought of Christmas shopping gave me anxiety. What do you get a testy teenager that is too cool for you? The one that refers to you as “bruh” or “birth giver.” While my son has thankfully picked up on my humor and sarcasm, it isn’t fun when they live under your roof.

The other problem this momma has is that my son is the one and only for me and the one and only grandbaby. This child is spoiled … like, we probably are legit setting him up for failure in life. While that may be the case, which let’s just admit has given me even more anxiety, I was on a mission to find him gifts that he will appreciate and maybe even use.

Top Gifts for Teenagers This Christmas

Fujifilm Mini – I got this for my son for him to take to school. I remember having a camera with the snap and wind thing going on. Yes, most teenagers have phones, but they aren’t SUPPOSED to have them out at school. I thought this would be a cool gift to have and share the instant photos with his friends.

Meta VR – This bad boy has been a surprise for me. I thought he would use it for watching Netflix or just overall an electronic right all up in your face. But … my son has been playing games on it that have him sweating. He has lost weight playing Beat Saber, which is a game with music and you have to slices boxes to the beat, something like that. I can actually see the definition in his arms, so, a good workout for the electronic kid in your life.

Echo Show – I may have more of these in my house than necessary, but my favorite feature is the ‘drop in’ feature. Since my son is older, he stays home while I run errands on occasion. Does he answer his phone when I call? No. So, I drop in on his Echo Show, and can talk with him.

Birkenstock – These little shoes are making a comeback. I still have mine from high school; they last forever.

Kendra Scott – While this is a jewelry store, and my son personally would not want this as a gift, all children are different. My favorite thing about this is that you can go to her store and make your own necklace, earrings, or rings. Side Note: I have met her in real life and she is very kind and down to earth, I will give my money to people like that!

LED Strip Lights – I first bought these for our bathrooms to put under the sink. The ones I had were motion activated and were perfect for when you needed to get up in the middle of the night but also needed a little light to see. The light up ones with an app were perfect for his bedroom to give it a cool teenager vibe. :insert my child’s eye roll:

Mini Fridge – I got one of these for me, so naturally it was taken by my son. I used it for makeup/under eye gel patches to have them cool. Well, my son has it in his room for about 6 cans of soft drinks. What teenager wants to leave their room for anything other than to let you know they are alive? Duh mom!

Some of these are new and old purchases we have made. Are there any gifts you can think of to add to this this? The teens are wild y’all! Bless Our Hearts!
