Ready to Grow With Healthy Height
My son Liam was born at 27 weeks and was the smallest baby I’ve ever seen. He came fighting into this world at a small and frightening 15 ounces. Thankfully, our NICU days are behind us and Liam is now a happy and healthy 6 year old. However, by looking at him you may not think he is as old as he is. As you can imagine, when you are born so prematurely and small; we have been playing catch up not just developmentally but physically.
Over the years we have packed his diet full of good healthy fats in hopes to help him gain weight and grow. However, as he has gotten older he has become pickier in what he will eat. Some days, he doesn’t want to eat at all. It’s something that is truly frustrating in our family. We have even done appetite stimulants to little avail.
When Healthy Height reached out to see if we wanted to try out their product, I was all ears! A shake mix that promotes not only weight gain but height gain? I was excited and was anxiously awaiting for the product to arrive to get started.
The box arrived and my son Liam and I couldn’t wait to get started. Two canisters of mix arrived, a chocolate and a vanilla. There was also a Blender Bottle in the box with their logo on it, score! And last but not least, a fun growth chart. Liam was excited to hang it up and see how tall he is. We will for sure be keeping track of his progress.
Liam wanted to try out the vanilla first. So we followed the instructions and I added whole milk (we need all the calories and fat we can get!) and made it in the awesome Blender Bottle. The mix smelled delicious and I was excited for Liam to try it. To make it extra fun, I served it in a fun cup with a silly straw.
While Liam did drink all of the vanilla shake, he was hoping he would like the chocolate more. And guess what? He did! He drank the whole thing, that’s a win in my book.
In hopes for Liam to not get bored with the same taste, I am going to make some different smoothies while using the Healthy Height powder. A pamphlet even came with the mixes of a few recipes. Chocolate banana smoothie anyone? Sounds good to me!
Healthy Height’s suggestion is to drink 2 servings a day for best growth results. I will continue to give Liam Healthy Height over the next few months and hope to see him grow a few inches and gain a few pounds.
does your shakes have iodine in them?
