Remembering our Babies :: Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

Since the beginning of this website, we have shared stories from our writers and readers in remembrance of our little ones who were gone too soon. It is hard to write about, hard to discuss and hard to endure. But in our ability to open up and share our stories of pain and loss, we can help lift one another up and heal.

Some of our stories include:

A Letter to my Baby Girl: Reflections 5 Years After our Loss

A Pregnancy Doesn’t Always Mean a Baby: One Mother’s Journey

My Miscarriage: Dear Baby

What Should Have Been {Life After Miscarriage}

This year, we also reached out to you, our readers, asking you to share a note to your angel baby and below are your beautiful words. Thank you for sharing your hearts. May these words tributes bring comfort to those who need it.

My precious four babies I never got to see and know. It broke our hearts to lose you. Mama loves you and I can’t wait until the day we finally meet! I know you are happy and that you welcomed your brother and grandparents. Being with Jesus is the best there is.

Thank you for bringing such joy to our lives in your short time with us.

The joy I felt when I found out you were growing inside of me could not be contained. I never had the chance to meet you, but that moment of sheer joyI shared with your dad is something I will always hold on to.

I will always wonder who you would be today.

Dear sweet baby,
Our family is now complete. We have 3 beautiful children on Earth and a 4th, you, in Heaven. We always said that we’d strongly consider 4 children, but after I delivered our 3rd I knew I was done. I was absolutely certain right there in the delivery room. It finally dawned on me, though, that my feelings were so confident because we already DO have 4 children. For the few weeks that you grew in my belly, you mattered so so much to us. You were quite the surprise, but we didn’t care. We were going to embrace children 15 months apart and make it work. Alas, you were not meant to live on Earth with us. It made us very sad, but you changed our family in ways that never would have happened had you not been meant for Heaven. And for that we are grateful. You taught us empathy, compassion, fellowship and what it means to have faith. Thank you for the gift that you were … and always will be.

I still miss you.

Thank you all for giving us hope when we needed it the most. We loved you from the moment we found out about you.
Baby of mine,
I have wanted you all my life, I have dreamed about you since as far back as I can remember. I loved you before, I loved you when I carried you, and I will love you forever. You are mine and I am yours, forever and ever. Love always, mommy.
An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby’s birth.
Then whispered as she closed the book “too beautiful for earth

Our deepest sympathies go out to all those suffering.
