Next week we are hosting a special one day series, sponsored by Touro Infirmary and Langenstein’s, on the blog entitled “Girl vs. Grill.” This series will include a variety of recipes that would be appropriate for a summer barbecue. In a few weeks, on May 14, the series will “come alive,” so to speak, with an interactive grocery store tour similar to the ones we led in the fall. Julie Fortenberry, a registered dietitian with Touro (and mom of two little ones), will lead moms through Langenstein’s sharing her tips for shopping healthily. She will help you conquer your summer recipes with an eye towards health and nutrition. Print one of the recipes from the blog (or bring your own), join us for an hour of interactive fun, accomplish your grocery shopping (with a discount from Langenstein’s) and walk away with some fun grilling-related swag.
Girl Vs. Grill: Conquer Summer Barbecue
Who: all New Orleans area moms (children welcome but not encouraged)

When: Wednesday, May 14 at 9:00am and 6:00pm (1 hour each)
Why: Connect with other New Orleans moms, learn fabulous nutrition tips, get some grocery shopping done (with a discount) and walk away with a swag bag of grilling items (valued at $20+).
