Grocery Shopping’s a Beach {Sponsored Giveaway from Vacay Foods}

Disclosure: Vacay Foods sponsored this post, but the minute they reached out to us I immediately fell in love with the idea of this business. My absolute favorite vacation destination is Rosemary Beach, along 30A in the panhandle of Florida. While I love spending time there, I do not love having to figure out the logistics of grocery shopping during my vacation. This is where Vacay Foods comes in. Vacay Foods is a grocery delivery service that services the areas from Fort Walton to Panama City Beach and everywhere in between. If you vacation in Florida, read on!

Have you had your groceries delivered on vacation? You should.

Let me guess: you assume that grocery delivery is a luxury, cost prohibitive, a rip off or more work than it’s worth. I want you to hear me out on why that is no longer the case.

I am happy that the school year is almost over and that beach time is getting closer. If you frequent the Destin, Florida, 30A or surrounding Florida beach areas you know what a wonderful
Vacay banner adplace it is. But after a five hour car ride with the kids do you really want to spend another two hours in the grocery store figuring out what you need? Saturdays in Publix after check in time can be a total nightmare. Everyone is checking in to their rentals … and everyone is also grocery shopping. You’re on vacation in the panhandle of Florida … why not skip that part all together? What if I told you that you could grocery shop for your Florida panhandle beach vacation from the comfort of your pajama pants and couch, wine in hand, after the kids were in bed right here in New Orleans? And that it won’t cost you any more than if you dragged them screaming through the store during the witching hour?

If you have used a similar service before, you need to know that Vacay Foods is different. They do not shop for you at the grocery store; they ARE the grocery store. Think of Vacay Foods, which services the areas between Fort Walton and Panama City Beach and everywhere in between, as a grocery store that delivers. They buy from wholesalers and distributors just like a regular supermarket so their prices are comparable to the ones you see in the local supermarket. They have an easy-to-navigate website that lets you place your order before you even pack up the car! Plus, Vacay Foods offers pre-arrival delivery, meaning your groceries will be there – at the beach in Florida – before you are. All of these delivery services are 100% FREE for orders over $50. You can also use their same day service for delivery in as little as two hours. So let’s say you’re sitting on the white crystal beach that the panhandle of Florida is known for and realize your kids are out of swim diapers. Just pretend you are Kate Middleton, whip out that iPhone, place your order and voila! If you ask me, my time and stress levels are worth the $4.99 delivery fee for the random one-off items we forget. It would probably cost me $3 in gas just to get to the store anyway. I’ll sit on the beach and stare at the Gulf of Mexico with my Corona Light, thank you very much.

Or imagine this: after a long day at the beach you come home. The kids are tired and hungry. Right. Now. So you reach into the freezer and grab the chicken nuggets and frozen peas. You serve them up some dinner and then get them to bed. Now you and your husband have time to cook up a nice ribeye, some asparagus, and drink a glass of Stag’s Leap. All of this is possible without the hassle of going to the grocery store.

  1. We usually stay at our condo which is in Sandestin Resort. My sister lives and works in Rosemary Beach so we will split our time there as well 🙂

  2. Hi Megan!
    Great city you now call home! On par with the Emerald Coast (but for different reasons).
    As a Mobile resident, I’m even closer than you are to those gorgeous white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast. I’m a dedicated Santa Rosa county vacationer. I honestly love everything from the homeyness of Fort Walton beach to the happening city of Destin to “Truman Show” chicness of Seaside. And I never miss an opportunity to go to Sunday brunch at the Red Bar. Maybe I’ll see you there, bloody mary in hand? Cheers.

  3. We are headed to the beautiful Pensacola beaches this summer, we’ve never been before so this will be a first time trip there.
