Disney Parks Must Haves

Disney must haves

We have returned from another successful Mardi Gras at the Happiest Place on Earth. My father decided when my grandmother passed away, that he would use some of his inheritance to buy into Disney Vacation Club. My family has been members since 2011 and we have really enjoyed the many visits we take. Our home club is Animal Kingdom Lodge because the grandson got to pick. My son was 3 years old when we became members so, of course, he picks the resort with the animals outside your window.

Now listen, I get it, you either love it or hate it, and I am not here to debate that. What I am here to talk about is all the things I have come across over our many visits to Mickey’s house that you may want to take with you for a future visit.

Stainless-Steel Straws – Disney is obsessed with paper straws, yay environment, nothing wrong with that, but my straw gets bendy, and not in a good way, before my drink is done. Oh, and the way it feels when you suck the straw, makes my lips dry, yucky. Anyway, we purchased a carrying case that contains a few metal straws, totally worth it.

Sunscreen – Gee, who would have thought of that? Hear me out, I have come across the holy grail of sunscreens for your sweaty face! Thanks to my fabulous dermatologist, she introduced me to Colorscience powder sunscreen, you heard me right. It is honestly the best, whenever my face gets sweaty from the Florida sun, just use the brush and viola, sunscreen and makeup, boom.

Hand Sanitizer – Praise the good Lord above for the mini Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers. It was used a lot and we definitely got our money’s worth. Just hook it on your bag and clean hands for all!

External Battery Packs – Since Disney decided to do everything through the MyDisney Experience App, you are constantly on your phone in the park, before, after, during, all…the…time. So needless to say, the phone battery gets low. We purchased a few external chargers and were able to keep the phones fully charged.

Stainless-Steel Cup – There is nothing free at Disney, except ice and water. So, get you a cute stainless-steel cup and bring it with you to the park.

Backpack – A few years ago, in Epcot, I was drawn to a Mickey backpack. It was one of those buy a million dollars with of things and get this for a low price. Obviously, I had to have it. That thing has come with me every trip, it holds all the things. Unfortunately, you become the holder of all the things, but it helps that you can wear it on your back and keep your hands free to be on our phone instead of carrying all the goodies.

Disney Soft Drink Cups – These bad boys are totally with it. Now it isn’t something you bring, but if you stay on property, they offer for the low low price of $21.99, a reusable cup. It is for all fountain drinks at any resort, coffee, and tea. We used the heck out of ours and probably saved in the long run.

Disney Popcorn Bucket – We bought a bucket a few years ago, and I bring that sucker with me every visit. You can get refills for $2.25 instead of paying for full price. Of course, the bucket was I think $13.99, but the refills are what makes it worth it.

Anything I missed that you could think of? We always love to get feedback on other items we missed. Have a magical day!
