The Preservation Resource Center presents its first Revival Gala-vant, a self-guided run/walk/bike/paddle exploration of New Orleans historic neighborhoods. The event includes a Family Scramble activity guide, in which youngsters can earn their own Preservation Badge, while learning about historic New Orleans architecture, neighborhoods and history. This fun event is easy to do at your leisure with your whole family. Five routes offer unique opportunities to explore various city neighborhoods, with local landmarks, historic sites and fun history lessons featured on each path. The routes vary in length, providing a way for everyone, regardless of fitness level, to enjoy the experience. As you explore each neighborhood, pop on your headphones and listen to a podcast that provide insightful, fascinating and fun stories about the communities and historic architecture, including interviews with New Orleans drummer Shannon Powell, Tulane geographer Richard Campanella and other longtime residents.
