Executive Functioning Information Sessions for Parents of Children & Adolescents
December 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Families Helping Families host an informational session on executive functions. Executive Functions are the skills needed to accomplish goals in the academic arena, as well as in daily living. These skills include planning, organization, initiation, working memory, cognitive flexibility/shifting, problem-solving, emotional regulation, inhibitory control, and self-monitoring. Speech-language pathologists are uniquely qualified to treat executive functioning weaknesses. We treat and diagnose nine major areas including cognition, which includes memory, sequencing, problem solving and executive functions. Guest Speaker is Jeanne Develle, M.S., CCC-SLP, language, learning, and executive function specialist. Occupational Therapist, Kerrie Ramsdell will join Jeanne for a 360-degree look at executive functioning skills.
