Our Top 5 Kid Friendly Coffee Shops in New Orleans

Stressed. Blessed. Coffee Obsessed. That’s exactly what my favorite tee shirt says and pretty much sums it up. So if it’s too early for wine, go for a coffee! Here are our favorite places to grab a cup of joe with your kiddos in tow.

The Station

This mid-city coffee shop and bakery is perfect to bring the fam and just hang out.  Nothing fussy, just simple, delicious drinks and pastries. They also offer meat pie, kolache and salad for a quick lunch. Our favorite part is the outdoor space for kids to run around while parents refuel.

District Donuts

There are now four locations throughout the area to choose from, with unique and delicious donuts daily.  They also offer sliders and ‘croquenuts’ (grilled donut sandwich!) if you’re there at lunch time. My kids love all the fun flavors while I opt for a nitro cold brew and a buttermilk drop. Harrison Avenue and Elmwood are the most spacious, but Magazine is great as well.

Stumptown Coffee at Ace Hotel

This super hip hotel also boasts a super hip coffee shop. In the heart of the CBD, there’s plenty to do in the area and they are more than used to visiting families. Try something unique like a sparkling citrus cold brew or a traditional latte.

Congregation Coffee Roasters

Located in historic Algiers point, this would be a fun ferry ride if you’re coming from the east bank. In addition to their own coffee blends, they offer simple breakfast, pastries from local bakers as well retail coffee to bring home and enjoy. Cortado, anyone?

French Truck

I fell in love with their cold brew from the grocery and couldn’t resist a visit to their store front. The Dryades location in particular is very spacious, perfect to bring the whole gang. Super tasty coffee aside, they also serve breakfast all day (hello waffle sandwich!), fresh salads and sandwiches.

Bonus at home option!

If you can’t get out or wait for your caffeine fix, stock up on local wine bottle cold brew from Kranz Coffee. They offer subscription service as well as catering for events!
