Recently, there’s been a flurry of businesses coming to Old Metairie, but these new-comers are getting us giddy! From raw seafood to wood-fired meat, hot donuts to fruit and veggie parfaits, we’re so excited to see such a variety of amazing local restaurants coming right to our backyard.
Brasa Churrasqueria South American Steakhouse, Metairie (opened June 14, 2017)
Meat anyone? A variety of South American meats cooked over a wood-fire grill with the most gorgeous presentation. The menu is a-la-carte with delicious meat options and incredible sides to persuade the foodie in your life. With options like the Brazilian-inspired picanha to the grilled carrots with goat cheese, there’s something for everyone. Oh, and let’s not forget happy hour!
Fraiche La Vie Louisiane: 123 Sierra Court, Metairie (opened July 14, 2017)
Fruit and veggie purees and parfaits to make eating healthy FUN. These cute cups aren’t just for kids. Refreshing treats like Apple & Sweet Potato and Peach & Butternut Squash will make prepping lunches a breeze!
Originally a Hawaiian raw fish dish, Poke Loa caters to the seafood lover! You can build your own bowls by choosing a base, a protein, a mix-in, marinade and your toppings or select from their pre-made menu items such as King Loa, Tuna Poke, Salmon Poke or even a Veggie Bowl. If you love the Magazine Street location, you’ll love having Poke Loa close to home.

With one location currently in Harahan, this a farm-to-table Italian restaurant, features a wood-burning pizza oven and offers an ingredient-driven men that you are sure to love! Both casual and classy, Oak Oven is great for a date night or family meal.
