I wear all kinds of hats. There is a hat that has been added recently, that truly sends my anxiety into a panic.
TEACHER
Once upon a time, I was enrolled as an Education major in college. I quickly realized it was not for me. Who could have predicted that I would take on this role willingly in 2020?
My youngest daughter turned 10 last month. She is entering into the 4th grade. She has struggled with many aspects of school from Kindergarten to now. It terrifies me to know I will be the one in charge of her education this school year. I constantly question myself. Am I qualified enough? Am I educated enough? Am I strong enough? Do I have enough patience? Am I enough to help her succeed?
It was never a question in our household if my husband and I were going to send her back to school in person, but rather how on earth am I going to make this work while still running my business from home?
I have many friends in the same position as me. Terrified of sending their kids back yet struggling with how they will manage their children’s education and everything else on their plates.
I say this to myself, my friends and any other momma out there struggling with this, YOU ARE STRONG. You are intelligent. You are qualified. You will summon the patience needed. Your babies will succeed.
This school year will be interesting to say the least, but I have faith in myself and all of you that we will make it through. We are moms. We wear all the hats and get things done because that’s just how we are built.
