Postpartum Reflections {Motherhood is Beautiful}

Our postpartum bodies vary as much as our postpartum minds, each a physical manifestation of our journey through motherhood. Some of us cherish these bodies, some of us despise them, but all have served as vessels that carried tiny miracles into our lives. Many of us have overcome postpartum struggles, ranging from postpartum anxiety to postpartum depression to learning to balance work with motherhood.

Postpartum. It’s a word that – in many ways – defines us. Because after we welcome children into our families – however that happens and whatever that looks like – we are genuinely never the same.

We teamed up with Beauregard-Keyes House, Bon Temp Studio, ALG Style, and Buff Beauty Bar to produce a project honoring our bodies. Twelve New Orleans moms spent the day being primped, interviewed and photographed to bare {almost} all, literally and figuratively, about postpartum life.

Here are their postpartum reflections.
