There’s no shortage of family fun in New Orleans, especially at the holidays! People always say “there’s just something about New York during the holidays,” but we think that there’s something about New Orleans, too!
We are excited to share that we’ve partnered with Little Pnuts to bring you the first annual Oh What Fun! holiday photo contest. We want to see your precious families out and about in the greater New Orleans area enjoying all that our city has to offer at this magical time of year. Perhaps you’re at an event like Celebration in the Oaks, or maybe you’re just admiring the gorgeous holiday decorations in one of our many historic hotels or perhaps your little ones are unsure of Santa at the mall. Whatever it is that you’re doing in New Orleans this holiday season, snap a picture and share it with us!
How to enter the NOMB Holiday Photo contest:
- Email an original photo to info {at} neworleansmomsblog {dot} com (scroll down for more details on what types of photos to send).
- Use “Oh What Fun! photo contest” as the subject of your email (this is important to minimize our spam filters intercepting it).
- Submission deadline is Sunday, December 16 at Noon central.
- The NOMB team and Little Pnuts will choose FIVE finalists whose photos will be posted on Facebook and our readers will vote by “liking” their favorite. If you’re a finalist you can send friends and family to NOMB’s Facebook page to “like” your photo.
- A winner (based on the vote count) will be announced on Wednesday, December 19 before we close up shop for a holiday break.
The winner will receive a box of toys from Little Pnuts ($60 value) in the age/gender of their choosing!
Rules & Guidelines:
- Photos must be of YOUR family and be taken by YOU. This is for fun. Let’s play fair.
- Up to three (3) separate submissions are acceptable. Please send a separate email for each submission.
- Photos should feature your family/children enjoying the holidays in or around the New Orleans area. It should be clear in the picture(s) that it’s the holiday season, and even better if it’s obvious where you are!
- Please include a caption of up to 50 words (no more, please!) to give some added meaning or background to your photo. Share info about where you are, what you’re doing and who’s in the picture. Don’t hesitate to be witty, funny and clever!
- Photos will be judged both by the quality of the caption and the subject itself. Don’t worry if you aren’t a professional photographer! If your photo is just so-so but the holiday moment and caption are spectacular, you could be in it to win it!

While not required for participation, we strongly encourage you to share as many holiday photos as you want (tagging New Orleans Moms Blog and Little Pnuts) via social media. The NOMB team and Little Pnuts will play along, too – even though we’re not eligible to win the prize.
- Instagram – if you’re on Instagram (we are!), please share your submissions there by tagging @NOLAMomsBlog, @LittlePnuts AND using the hashtag #OhWhatFunWithNOMB!
- Twitter – find New Orleans Moms Blog and Little Pnuts on Twitter and tag us, again using the hashtag #OhWhatFunWithNOMB (so you may say something like “Hey @NOLAMomsBlog and @LittlePnuts – our family’s having a ball at Celebration in the Oaks #OhWhatFunWithNOMB”
- Facebook – like New Orleans Moms Blog and Little Pnuts on Facebook and tag us in your pictures, also using the hashtag #OhWhatFunWithNOMB
