Set Sail on the Cajun Holiday Tea with Papa Noel

You and your family are invited to the annual Papa Noel Cajun Holiday Tea on the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen. Join us December 14th and 15th with two time options, 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Tickets are available for purchase at CreoleQueen.com

Old-fashioned afternoon tea is a long time British tradition that started in the early 1840s, especially during the holidays. It has since become a tradition, especially in the Southern United States, with the finest hospitality venues serving holiday tea in high style. New Orleans continues that tradition by offering intrepid holidaymakers an elegant way to spend their morning or afternoon in the Big Easy during the winter holidays. Aboard the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen, we put our own spin on this custom with jolly Cajun characters to entertain during an enchanting family festivity on the Mighty Mississippi River.
The elves at the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen have been working tirelessly to prepare for one of the most exciting Holiday events in New Orleans – the Cajun Holiday Tea with Papa Noel. Set sail down the Mississippi with Papa Noel and a cast of Louisiana’s special Christmas characters for a merry, family-friendly cruise on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th aboard the Creole Queen for a New Orleans spin on this elegant holiday tradition. This annual cruise brings families together with some of their favorite Cajun holiday friends like Papa Noel, Mrs. Noel, Gaston the Gator, and some of their elves straight from the North Pole! Guests can expect a festive holiday tea complete with snacks and treats, sure to delight any taste buds.

Upon arrival, children are invited to write their final Christmas wish list and drop it off in the mail to be delivered directly to Papa Noel. One of the most exciting moments for most children is being able to hold and pet a live baby alligator named Gaston! After lunch, children are invited downstairs to enjoy a magic show with an entertaining magician, who is guaranteed to amaze attendees with feats of impossibility and lots of laughter! This adventure is followed up with a calming story time featuring Mrs. Noel and her elves. Rounding out the event is a second line around the vessel, led by Papa and Mrs. Noel. Each child will be handed a white napkin to parade around the banquet hall to the sounds of classic New Orleans music.

Since you’re in Louisiana, we can’t let our guests leave without a little lagniappe, so each child will leave with a special treat to commemorate this event they won’t soon forget!
