Five Reasons to Take Your Little Monsters to the Kid Zone at Scout Island Scream Park
It may not feel like Fall yet in New Orleans but the festivities and pumpkin patches are soon to be in full swing! The Kid Zone at Scout Island Scream Park in New Orleans City Park is one of them, and a great option to enjoy some scare-free, Halloween family-fun.
Here are five reasons you should take your little monsters to the Kid Zone at Scout Island Scream Park::
It’s not scary!
The littlest of the bunch can get in on the festive fun with plenty to do like kiddie carnival rides, face painting, arts and crafts, hold a live alligator and a Haunted Mansion bounce house. The frights don’t start in the Scream Park until the sun goes down, leaving plenty of daytime excitement for the kids.
Old-Fashioned Hayride
There’s an old-fashioned tractor-pulled hayride that takes you around the wooded-swamp perimeter of the island for a non-scary, festive time. Get a glimpse of some of the attractions in the daytime without the scares of the chilling actors.
The Boogie Spooktacular Animated Experience
Starting this year they’ve added The Boogie Spooktacular, an immersive, animated, musical experience that features your favorite iconic monsters in a non-scary environment. They’ll serve up some playful thrills while the whole family gets their ghostly groove on.
Princesses, A Magical Circus Act and Live Music… Oh My!
Live entertainment will be on-hand throughout the weekend. Enjoy greetings and songs from your favorite princesses of Petit Princess Company. The Crescent Circus features a one-of-a-kind experience blending magic and circus arts. Imagination Movers, known for their high-energy, interactive live music shows will also be performing.
Kids under 3 are FREE!
Your littlest goblins under 3 years enjoy free admission! Tickets are $20 and include unlimited carnival rides, Kids Zone attractions, a wagon ride, The Boogie Spooktakular, and access to food, drinks and music. There is a $5 Chaperone Festival Ticket available for adults accompanying full price tickets.
As a Halloween-obsessed mom, I’m always on the lookout for kid-friendly, frightful fun. The Kid Zone at Scout Island Scream Park has something for the whole family this Halloween season! The non-scary events kick off on Friday, September 27th.
