Strategies for Parents in the Social Media Age

May 15 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| Free

Liz Weiman, author of Amazon #1 Bestseller in its category “100+ iPhone/iPad Tricks You Can Do Right Now!” shares hacks and strategies to cope with the new challenges that parents face in this age of social media at the Algiers Regional Library new New Orleans at 6:00 – 7:45pm. Hacks include Apple’s new “Screen Time” feature which allows parents to monitor and control their children’s social media such as app use. They can get weekly reports, set timers for each app, and add their own passcode on their child’s devices. Parents can also use this feature to restrict the sites their kids visit. The kids have found ways around some of even the best restrictions, but parents can employ specific strategies to counteract this. Q&A session will follow this talk. Free and open to the public.
